Q: What is DemoBuddy?
A: It’s a coaching tool that analyzes your mouse activity during demos, helping you deliver kick-ass demos and close more deals.

Q: Where can I try it?
A: It’s a chrome extension that can be found in the extension store. Get started with a couple of clicks, and increase your win rate today.

Q: Does it cost?
A: No, it’s free of charge! Go bananas and try it.

Q: How does it work?
A: It analyzes your mouse activity and collect data such as mouse movement, speed, acceleration, distance, clicks, and page visits.

Q: Who is it for?
A: Anybody who share their screen and deliver demos.

Q: Who is the ICP for DemoBuddy?
A: A sales rep who does at least 4+ demos a month and who wants to ramp up their demo flows to win more deals.

Q: How does the timer work?
A: You set the timer for how long your demo will be (maximum). It starts to count down and collects information during this time. When the time is up you’ll get a score.

Q: When is mouse activity measured?
A: When the timer is on. Everything within your browser and the different tabs are collected and measured. DemoBuddy doesn’t work outside your browser.

Q: How is the demo flow score calculated?
A: It’s an algorithm based on your collected metrics.

Q: What is the score range?
A: 0-100

Q: Can I reset my score?
A: Yes, simply press reset. BUT, keep in mind that you can’t go back to old scores so make sure to share it and brag about your high score, before hitting reset.

Q: Can I find my old score?
A: Not yet. Subscribe with your email above for free to get access to the exclusive waitlist for v2 - where score history is included, among other features!

Q: Is DemoBuddy visible for the person I demo to?
A: It depends on your screen share selection.
- Full screen: Yes, they will we it unless you minimize it.
- Window: Yes, they will we it unless you minimize it.
- Tab: No, they will never see it. 

Q: How can I improve my score?
A: Focus on the info provided in the “Improve” box. In general: Be more smooth with your mouse avoid clicking too much, and focus more on value in your demos to ramp up your score.

Q: I scored 100! Where’s my cookie?
A: Reply to any DemoBuddy email with an image of your score and you’ll get a cookie😉

Q: What is DemoBuddy v2?
A: An upcoming version of DemoBuddy with more features such as score graphs, score history, benchmarks and team management. Signup with your email to make it happen!

Q: Hmm, I don't think my score is accurate..?
A: If you have any feedback on the score algorithm, please send an email to hotsaaspod@gmail.com with an image of the score and write the potential error.

You should understand needs and talk about how features can create value and minimize pain. Don’t get trapped in the feature-fiesta-funnel of doom ☠️

The ‘feature → value’ framework ✍🏼

Let’s see how we can convert features into value and close more deals.

Q: When was the last time you (un)locked your phone?

Probably quite recently. In all honesty, the lock function on your phone is a feature that’s creating huge value, but you’re taking it for granted. We’re gonna break it down with the FBVAPA-framework™️:

• Feature

• Benefit

• Value

• Avoid

• PartialAccept

Feature = A feature or set of features
Benefit = What the feature enables for the customers
Value = How this enablement is translated into the customer goal/pain
Avoid = What pain they can avoid thanks to the feature
PartialAccept = Ask the customer if they agree on how the feature can create value for them

Let’s try this in action with a non-SaaS product 🥊🛎

Product: A smartphone
Feature: The lock button
Framework: FBVAPA

🕹 Feature = “This phone has a lot of great features! The best feature of them all is that you can lock and unlock your phone by pressing this button”

👍🏼 Benefit = “This gives you the benefit that, with the click of a button, you can decide if your phone should be ready for interaction, or not.”

💰Value = “The value of this is that you can
(1) protect your screen and prevent unintended changes or actions since it stops accidental touches on the screen when not used. It also serves as a
(2) security and privacy layer since you can have different authentication codes and lock out strangers from your private or sensitive data. On top of that, it delivers
(3) battery conservation since it turns off unnecessary processors in the background creating longer battery life.”

☠️Avoid = “Many people value the lock button because you can avoid (1) embarrassing pocket dials or accidental messages, you can also avoid (2) private and sensitive data getting leaked, and finally avoid (3) getting stranded somewhere with low battery on your phone.” 

❓PartialAccept = “Do you think the lock button would create value for you [and your business]?”

-”YES”.

Aaaaaand boom, sold.📝

→ When you get the yes, make sure to ask why it would create value - that’s when the customer starts pitching on themselves without even noticing.
→ If you get a no, ask why not to understand and park that feature and move on to the next one.

Tip:
Do this with any product. For example a door, a comb, a sock, or your own SaaS product😉 Try this framework and do it for all the main features in your product. Share the table with your team and discuss it down.

Focus on the top 1-3 customer needs and get a PartialAccept on each one - then close.
