Market Analysis

In our analysis on April 5, as discussed earlier, BTC retraced toward the green zone but was unable to break through, suggesting a potential rebound now. Currently, it has reached a rebound zone of around 69k-70k. This area would act as resistance to push prices lower. If this zone was surpassed, the market would indicate a trend reversal (contingent upon not dropping below 64k), signifying a potential end to the current downward trend.

You can see the price range above was playing a role as Support and Resistance (SNR). A breach of this range would support a price increase!

Fast forward to the data on April 8, the lower green zone acted as strong support and yielded a positive response, leading to a swift price rebound within a few days. Additionally, the SNR (Support and Resistance) zone experienced a minor downward reaction; however, this decline failed to establish a new low, resulting in the swift invalidation of this SNR.

As you can see in the chart above, BTC still faces a final supply zone around the 73k area. If BTC successfully breaks above this level, there is a high probability of a slight retest followed by a continuation to new all-time highs (ATH).

The condition to trigger a downward trend is the daily candle closing below 64k, which is currently unlikely to happen. Therefore, it is more advantageous to expect easier profits from an upward trend rather than persistently selling at resistance levels.

Altcoin overview

Currently, Altcoins are showing modest increases alongside BTC's upward movement. However, these gains are minimal due to BTC's simultaneous rise in dominance (BTC.D), diverting market interest towards BTC and limiting significant growth for Altcoins.

The optimal scenario for Altcoins to rally would be when BTC stabilizes without significant movement, and BTC.D decreases.

Altcoin's Total2 is approaching a historical resistance level that has thwarted attempts to reach All-Time Highs (ATH) three times before. There is anticipation that this time, with BTC surpassing its peak, Altcoins will ride the market sentiment, potentially igniting a strong FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) trend.

Regarding the current Altcoin market share, a few projects are making new All-Time Highs (ATH) apart from the ones analyzed in previous weeks such as ETHW and BCH. However, other coins discussed in recent analysis have successfully established new ATHs.

This week, a token recommended for a Long position by Coinwire at 4.9 has surpassed its All-Time High (ATH). Market Update

At present, the majority of altcoins tend to mirror BTC's price movements. BTC has recently reached a support level as previously analyzed, and if this level remains intact, BTC is poised for a rebound to approximately 68k-70k. Likewise, most altcoins are anticipated to follow suit and rebound in line with BTC's trajectory.

Altcoins overview

The Altcoin overview corresponds to the details outlined in our previous newsletter. In case you missed it, you can take a look at the post on our trading channel on Telegram.

In addition, certain altcoins are preserving their upward wave patterns, like $ETHW. Previously analyzed in the previous newsletter, this coin was identified as exhibiting an upward wave structure before breaking its all-time high (ATH). Presently, it has surpassed this ATH and remains on a bullish trajectory. Notably, its nearest substantial support rests within the range of 3.3-3.8.

The next coin in focus is $JUP, which has extended its breakout beyond the prior high following the formation of a Cup and Handle pattern. Although the price has breached the previous level, it has not yet achieved its target. Hence, there is a strong possibility that the price will persist in its upward momentum towards the range of 1.95-2.10.

US charges KuCoin crypto exchange with anti-money laundering failures

KuCoin, a major cryptocurrency exchange, faces charges from federal prosecutors in Manhattan for violating U.S. anti-money laundering laws. Allegations include failure to vet customers properly and allowing illicit fund transfers since 2017. The exchange is accused of soliciting business from U.S. customers without registering with the Treasury Department or implementing required identity verification procedures. Founders Chun Gan and Ke Tang, Chinese nationals, are charged with conspiracy and remain at large. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission also filed a civil lawsuit against KuCoin for unregistered futures and swaps activities.

As a result of the bad news, KuCoin experienced significant outflows totaling $1.083 billion via Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible (EVM) chains, while only $144 million flowed into the exchange. Net outflows on the Ethereum network alone amounted to $840 million, representing a more than 15% drop in the exchange's held assets. Blockchain data from Arkham Intelligence revealed that the total value of crypto assets, including Bitcoin, held by tagged KuCoin addresses declined from $6 billion to $4.8 billion. This decrease was likely due to investors withdrawing assets from the platform, despite minimal fluctuations in crypto markets during the same period.

The presale of PUMP, a Chinese BNB memecoin, has surpassed expectations, raising $280 million. This highlights the crypto community's keen interest in speculative ventures. Despite criticisms, PUMP attracted significant support from BNB Chain holders, accumulating 280 million tokens. Similar to Dogecoin's early success, PUMP's trajectory underscores the speculative and community-driven nature of meme coins.

After listing, the token kept decreasing in value and now has around 17.8M Marketcap. Looks like this memecoin went viral too late and not getting the fomo of the community as the trend ended itself.

FED Chairman Jerome Powell

The Federal Reserve Chairman stated that inflation is progressing as expected. He emphasized caution in reducing interest rates too soon, indicating a preference for maintaining rates if inflation hasn't met targets. The U.S. economy's strength suggests no immediate need for interest rate cuts. However, the Fed remains vigilant and may adjust policy if the labor market weakens unexpectedly. Overall, the Chairman expressed confidence in the economy, stating that the likelihood of a recession is low.

All three inflation measures: CPI, PPI, and PCE, have shown slight increases.

Especially, PCE is the inflation measure closely monitored by the Federal Reserve. In a recent meeting, the Fed noted that inflation "has moderated but remains elevated" and will not cut interest rates until inflation reaches 2%.

PCE inflation is as expected, showing significant progress according to everyone.
Cutting interest rates too early will have detrimental consequences. The Fed wants to be more confident before lowering them. If inflation hasn't reached the target, they will maintain interest rates longer.
The U.S. economy is strong enough, so there's no need to rush to lower interest rates.
If the labor market unexpectedly declines, the Fed may consider pivoting its policy.
The likelihood of a recession currently is low. There's no reason to believe the economy is in recession or on the brink of one.

In our previous analytics, BTC's downward momentum has slowed, leading to a sideways movement between 68k-72k. Both upper and lower bounds serve as significant resistance/support levels. In the Altcoin market, apart from newly launched Binance Launchpool projects, most coins are trading sideways. Attention is focused on select coins, especially RWA, which have seen substantial price increases. Our expectations on Mar 28 included a potential correction for broader participation in this trend, along with potential gains in newer Binance projects like JUP, PYTH, as well as established coins like FTM, TON, and ZK.

Two trends are observed: RWA and MEME, with certain meme coins like Doge, Shiba, and PEPE showing signs of resurgence. Attention should also be directed towards Euro-related assets, particularly Binance coins associated with football events, ahead of the Euro comeback. Specific entry points and assets will be suggested following a BTC correction for optimal timing. All the big memecoins will surge in the uptrend first, therefore you should take a note.

In our previous analytics, from a technical standpoint, the situation is straightforward: a bullish push is evident. However, analyzing price movements allows for the identification of potential entry opportunities.

Looking at price action, AEVO is currently experiencing an upward wave, potentially confirming a wave 1 push if wave 2 continues to break previous highs.

Regarding support and resistance levels, there is currently no resistance :)) The closest support zones are delineated in two areas as depicted in the image. Zone 1 spans between 3-3.2, while zone 2 ranges from 2.5-2.7.

For spot trading, it's recommended to diversify entries within these price ranges and set stop-loss and take-profit targets at 5U.

Bitcoin Update

Today, BTC is still confined within its established trading range. Resistance and support levels remain steady, with the upper limit around 71.5k-72k and the lower limit between 68.5k-69k. Currently, the market awaits a breakthrough beyond one of these boundaries to establish a corrective wave pattern.

Looking at the daily chart, the market displays an Outside Bar candlestick with moderate volume, followed by a bullish candlestick with volume at only half, indicating subdued trading activity. Given these indicators and recent positive news such as ETF inflows, etc., I anticipate a market downturn for a retest of the lower boundary.

Total2, as previously analyzed, is currently facing resistance on the daily chart. Continuous rejection signals are noticeable, with price consistently failing to breach the upper resistance zone, as depicted by candlesticks touching the red line and closing below it.

The majority of altcoins are gradually declining, but today, mining coins are gaining traction, likely due to upcoming halving events, offering some benefits to POW mining coins. Notably, ETHW, BCH, and LTC have emerged as top performers in the past 24 hours. BCH and ETHW have both broken past their previous highs, confirming their upward trajectories. The green zones indicate the nearest support levels for these mining coins.

Parallel Network has launched its omni-chain L2 network, which is built on the Arbitrum Orbit rollup stack. The network aims to address fragmented liquidity by allowing users to consolidate liquidity across various L2 networks. With Parallel’s omni-chain account, users can execute transactions on any chain.

The network also supports sponsored transaction fees, native yield generation, intent-based execution, and liquidity outposts. Additionally, Parallel’s DeFi portal offers trading, staking, and lending functionalities for assets. Parallel Network is currently available on testnet, and an early adopter program is scheduled to go live next month.

L2 Ecosystem Reaches $20B TVL

According to L2Beat, the total value locked (TVL) in all Ethereum L2 networks has surged to a new high of around $20 billion. Arbitrum One accounts for almost half of the TVL with assets worth $9.3 billion, while OP Mainnet’s TVL stands at just over $6 billion.

A year ago, the TVL for the entire Ethereum L2 ecosystem was below $5 billion. The growth is attributed to the launch of new rollups and tech stacks, such as the OP Stack, Arbitrum Orbit, and Polygon CDK. In the past 30 days, Metis and Manta Pacific have emerged among the top six rollups by TVL. The token prices for both OP and ARB have also reached their highs this month.

Q1 2024 shall be the dealine for Bitcoin Spot ETF. The market shall get much more volatility near the date of annoucement.
The Lunar New Year - the largest holiday in China shall take place in February. It may raise a concern that the Chinese would take the profit out of the market to prepare for the holiday, slowing down the momentum of the market.
BTC may still fluctuate in the liquidity zone of $40K to $44K. The market would create a new trend whenever BTC break either sides of the liquidity zone.

Starknet Outlines $STRK Distribution

Starknet has announced its plans for distributing STRK tokens. The plan includes an allocation of 1.8 billion tokens from its total supply of 10 billion. A provisions committee will distribute 900 million tokens to decentralize the network. Another 900 million STRK tokens are set aside for network rebates aimed at benefiting end users. A further 50 million tokens are designated for on-chain incentives.

Starknet is also preparing to unveil additional plans focused on developers and dapps building on its ZK Rollup. Last week, the Starknet Foundation confirmed plans to distribute STRK tokens to selected users and contributors for their past activities.

EigenLayer to Add 6 LSTs and Raise Caps

EigenLayer will add six new LSTs to its protocol starting on December 18th at 10am PT. The new LSTs include wBETH, osETH, swETH, AnkrETH, EthX, and oETH, which were the winners of EigenLayer’s LST race. The total number of LSTs supported by EigenLayer is now nine, joining rETH, cbETH, and wstETH.

EigenLayer is also raising the restaking caps for LSTs. Starting from December 18th, the protocol will support deposits up to 200k ETH for each LST, with an overall TVL ceiling of 500k ETH. EigenLayer currently holds 115k ETH in LST deposits and 66k ETH in native restaking. There are no caps for native restaking.
