Comments: Lenovo’s LOQ is one of our favorite budget gaming laptops, and at this price it’s also one of the best prices we’ve ever seen on any laptop with 4050 graphics.

Compared to other budget models like HP’s Victus, Gigabyte’s A16, or Acer’s Nitro, the LOQ has better build quality, more features, and more performance with graphics that have a higher power limit.

Alternatively, if you’re after more power, the RTX 5050 version is still on sale for a few more hours at Best Buy for $649.99.

Based on our testing, the 5050 is 18% faster in a 25 game average over the 4050, but in this case it costs 30% more money too. In other words, this 4050 configuration offers better value, but the extra GPU VRAM with the 5050 version will offer better longevity in newer games.

The Helios is a thinner, lighter, portable 16” gaming laptop with an OLED screen and good performance.

Battery life isn’t especially amazing, and the middle of the keyboard can run a bit warm while gaming - but air comes in through the sides of the keyboard, so the WASD keys and wrist rest area aren’t too bad while gaming.

The 5070 Ti isn’t full powered like thicker laptops, but performance isn’t too far behind those bigger options - A fair compromise if you’re after better portability.

Normally for $650 you’re looking at last gen 4050 laptops, which have 6GB VRAM compared to the 8GB with the 5050. This gives the newer 5050 better longevity in newer games.

Plus I found the 5050 to perform 18% faster in games compared to the 4050 in a 25 game comparison. So this is easily the best choice over any other 4050 options right now.

Comments: This is my personal gaming laptop at the moment that I bought with my own money, and this new record low price is $100 lower than last time.

The Zephyrus is one of the more expensive 5070 Ti gaming laptops out there, you’re paying for a premium feeling design and decent performance, all in the thinnest and lightest 16” gaming laptop we’ve tested.

But I value portability, so it was worth it, and I think it’s a great laptop to travel with for my video editing. The main downside to be aware of is you can’t upgrade the RAM, but 32GB should be plenty for most gamers for years to come.

Comments: This is a solid all-round gaming laptop.

In my recent “top 5 best gaming laptops of 2025”, found below, I put the Legion Pro 7i first.

This is the AMD version, with 3D V-Cache processor. This is why it’s around $100 more expensive compared to the lowest price we’ve seen on the Intel model. But honestly, that’s only 4% more money - and it’s worth it.

In my 29 game comparison, the 9955HX3D was 8% faster than Intel’s 275HX at 1440p, or 16% faster if you want to drop down to 1080p - definitely worth it if you’re after max performance.

Unless you need battery life, in that case Intel is the better choice. The Intel model is currently on sale at B&H for $2349 - just $20 higher than the all time record low.

Comments: This is the cheapest we’ve ever seen an RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop on sale for. Combined with a 16 core/32 thread processor, there’s lots of power here.

MSI’s Vector isn’t a premium gaming laptop or anything, but it was pretty decent we reviewed it earlier this year. But it is worth noting the 8940HX won’t offer great battery life.

The 5070 Ti’s 12GB VRAM will provide better longevity in future games compared to the lower tier 5070 with 8GB below it.

This price is normally what we see 5070 laptops go for, but the 5070 Ti is over 30% faster in games. If you want even more power, the RTX 5080 option is also currently at a record low price of $1899.

Plus Walmart have extended holiday returns until January 31st, so there’s pretty much no risk picking up this deal before Black Friday. If there’s a better deal, or some new laptop announced at CES in early January, you can just return it.

Comments: Definitely on the more expensive side, but if you’re after maximum performance from a premium gaming laptop, Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7i did extremely well in our review.

That said, the lower tier RTX 5080 version is also on sale for $2399, which is a fair bit cheaper without too much less performance. We measured the 5090 at just 16% faster than the 5080.

I recently compared 6 budget 5060 laptops (see video of the week below), and in that example I used Gigabyte’s lower tier A16 laptop - which had the same $1050 price!

This higher tier Aero model for the same price is absolutely worth it.

Alternatively, the higher tier model with RTX 5070 graphics is also on sale for $200 more. That’s 19% more money for 16% more FPS at 1080p & 1440p, not too bad if you’re after more performance.

Comments: I never thought we’d see a Razer deal worth sharing, but here we are.

The Blade is an extremely well built and portable little laptop, milled from a solid block of aluminum - so it has the most premium build quality of any gaming laptop we’ve tested.

Now it does cost more than the Helios above, but that’s just the way it goes with these smaller 14 inch options.

It’s worth keeping in mind that it maxes out with RTX 5070 graphics, so the 8 gigs of VRAM may be a limit in more games as time goes on.

But if gaming isn’t your priority, or you’re fine with potentially running at a lower resolution, lower settings, or with lower upscaling settings, this is a great price for a 14” gaming laptop.

Comments: Lenovo’s LOQ is a great budget gaming laptop, and at this price it’s also one of the cheapest RTX 5050 laptop deals we’ve found so far.

We recently reviewed the higher specced 5060 version, and overall build quality was decent for a plastic laptop, the fans were quieter than many other options, it’s got good upgrade options, lots of BIOS customization, and surprisingly decent speakers.

Unfortunately the screen we tested had slower response time, but that may vary by region. We also had some battery drain under heavy load with the default 170W charger, so the optional $15 upgrade for the 245W charger when ordering is recommended for those longer gaming sessions.

Alternatively if you’d like a bigger screen, the LOQ 17 with same specs is only $30 more with the same coupon code.

Comments: This is one of my favorite gaming laptops all year.

Yes, it’s expensive as far as RTX 5070 models go, and that’s because it’s a more premium option featuring a metal build, OLED screen, and it’s thinner and lighter for better portability.

The main concern is the 8GB of VRAM, which can be a limit in modern games. That said, if you’re aware of the limits and either won’t be doing heavy gaming or are ok running at lower resolutions/settings, the Legion 7i is a great portable machine.

The Legion 5 is portable, has great build quality, solid battery life, and a beautiful OLED screen.

Comments: This is one of my favorite gaming laptops, and I personally bought this exact configuration for my own laptop - I’ve reviewed it here.

It’s one of the thinnest and lightest 16” options available, so great for portability, but it can still pack a punch.

Yeah, the RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU isn’t quite full powered like thicker laptops, but it still delivers excellent performance.

Downsides include soldered RAM that can’t be upgraded, but I’d expect 32 gigs to be a nice sweet spot for gaming for the life of this product.

This deal might not look amazing in terms of the discount %, but it’s the lowest we’ve tracked so far if you’ve had your eye on the Zephyrus.

What’s Not: The smaller size means upgrades are limited to just 1 M.2 storage slot and the Wi-Fi card - RAM is soldered and can never be upgraded, but 32GB should be plenty for most tasks for years to come. What’s Good: The Legion Pro 7i is one of the best high-end gaming laptops we’ve tested all year.

That said, gaming performance will be simialr to the cheaper laptops listed above with the same 5070 Ti graphics.

But the Legion offers more premium features, including OLED screen, faster RAM and a faster processor.

What’s Not: Things to be aware of are the larger than average 400W charger, it’s definitely not as portable as the G14 above - but it also performs better too, that’s the tradeoff.

Based on our testing, the 5080 is 18% faster than the 5070 Ti at 1440p, and 23% faster at 4K, so that and the extra 33% more VRAM may be worth the 27% higher cost. Plus the SSD is twice the size.

Comments: This is one of the cheaper RTX 5060 gaming laptops we’ve listed so far, and again the GPU is a good match up for the 1080p screen.

Battery life from the Intel processor likely isn’t as good compared to the AMD TUF above, and ultimately the performance difference likely isn’t worth the $270 extra compared to that TUF - but regardless, this is still a good current deal if you’re after the 5060 for modern features like multi frame generation.

Comments: This is a bigger 17” model, so it’s surprising to see that it’s only $15 more expensive compared to the Victus above.

We generally consider the Victus and LOQ to be in the same tier of laptop, but this LOQ has a better HX processor and a bigger screen than the Victus deal - though the LOQ does also have half the SSD space, but you can upgrade that later if needed, you cannot upgrade the CPU and screen, so those should be prioritized.

Laptops with bigger screens generally cost more money, so if you’re after a bigger display, this is a great mid-range option at the moment.

Comments: This is one of the cheapest gaming laptops with RTX 5060 graphics we’ve seen so far, and finally similar in price to what was normal for 4060 models a year ago.

The Aurora series is Alienware’s new “budget” range that replaces the Dell G series, and I recently bought this exact configuration to review.

That’s still a few weeks away unfortunately, but so far it seems like a decent laptop for the price.

Comments: This laptop has the same graphics as the Strix G16 above, but the extra $400 gets you double the RAM and an OLED screen.

This is another one we have in the queue to review, but like the last gen Pro series, it’s a premium gaming laptop and offers good performance.

Comments: A bit more expensive than the others, but this is one of the cheapest RTX 5090 laptops we’ve seen so far.

You can customize it quite a bit when ordering, so more RAM/SSD/OLED screen will increase the price - probably why it’s so low (at least for a 5090 laptop!)

It costs similar to what we often saw last gen 4090 laptops go for, which is good considering the 5090 is only slightly faster than the 4090 in games.

Comments: This is excellent value for this level of hardware.

The RTX 5070 Ti graphics should be somewhat similar to the RTX 4080 from last gen, but this is cheaper compared to most 4080 laptop sales we’ve seen.

You can customize the specs quite a bit when ordering, so if you want an OLED screen, more RAM or the higher tier Ultra 9 275HX CPU, then you can make that choice.

I’m currently working on a comparison of the 5080 and 4090, and so far the 5080 isn’t too far behind, so this is extremely good value for the level of performance on offer.

You can customize this one a fair bit too, so if you want 32GB RAM or an OLED screen then you can make that choice for a bit more money.

Comments: Look, RTX 2050 graphics are fairly low end when it comes to gaming laptops.

But if you’ve only got $400 to spend, this is one of the best options we’ve seen in recent months.

The 2050 can still run modern games at 1080p, just expect to use low to medium settings. You can get an idea of FPS in 20+ games from when I tested it here.

Comments: If you’re looking for something with more power, the RTX 5080 graphics have you covered with similar FPS in games to the last gen 4090 - so any game at 1440p or even 4K with some DLSS is no problem.

We haven’t listed too many 5080 deals yet, but this is one of the lowest prices we’ve seen so far.

Comments: Want more power? This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for an RTX 5080 gaming laptop so far.

We’re still yet to fully test the 5080, but others have indicated that performance isn’t far off the 4090.

Yet this is cheaper than most 4090 laptops, especially now as it seems like 4090 laptops are out of production. Most stores don’t have much stock anymore, as newer RTX 50 laptops have started to replace them.

Comments: If you’re after best bang for buck right now at under $1000, Lenovo’s LOQ is the way to go.

This is $50-70 higher than the all time record low price we’ve listed it for in the past, but honestly it’s still great value for RTX 4070 tier performance.

The main thing to watch out for is the 7435HS CPU, which does not have integrated graphics. Basically this means that battery life will suck, but if you’re mostly using it with the charger connected it’s fine.

Comments: Lenovo’s LOQ series is my favorite budget gaming laptop, and the RTX 4060 graphics will let you play modern games with decent settings no problem.

Unfortunately this deal is still about 10% higher than the all-time record low price from a few weeks ago, but we might have to adjust our expectations in the new world of tarrifs.

Even at $799, this gaming laptop still offers some of the best performance per dollar available right now.

That said, it’s also available with the higher tier RTX 4070 graphics for $999 at Walmart if you’re after more about 20% more power in games.

Just be aware that 4070 version also has a worse AMD processor with no integrated graphics, which means poor battery life.

Comments: This was one of my favorite gaming laptops of 2024, tied for first place in my top 5.

This isn’t the best price we’ve ever seen it on sale for, but it’s the best sale we’ve seen since the whole tariff business started.

Again, it’s difficult to predict how this will affect gaming laptop prices going forward, but with price rises potentially on the way, this deal isn’t too bad.

The only downside of this laptop is the 16 gigs of soldered memory which can never be upgraded. That’s enough for plenty of games, but the lack of upgradeability does hurt this otherwise excellent portable gaming laptop.
