</style><div class='beehiiv__body'><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I’ve never shared this before..</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Read to the end and you’ll notice something interesting. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Most &quot;day in the life&quot; posts are either overly polished or completely fake. This is the real deal, my actual day, unfiltered.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>7:00 AM</b> - My alarm goes off, but I&#39;m already half awake. Twelve years of entrepreneurship has trained my body to wake up ready for action. I fire up the espresso machine.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>7:15 AM</b> - Now for my daily financial ritual. I settle into my kitchen table with coffee and pull up my financials (I use <a class="link" href="https://ynab.com/referral/?ref=ruZapaTgt_hQaJaL&utm_source=customer_referral" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">YNAB</a> app). Personal checking, business accounts for both companies. I review it all. Every single day. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">(I&#39;ve hacked consistency by pairing my financial review with my love for coffee. When you link a new habit to an existing daily ritual you love, it becomes a habit.)</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Three transactions to categorize. Takes maybe 5 minutes. When you&#39;re running multiple income streams, you need to know exactly where every dollar flows.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>Note: I only track operating expenses and leave COGS to the accountants in QuickBooks for my product business. I use </i><a class="link" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?utm_source=noemikis.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=a-day-in-the-life-what-a-normal-day-looks-like-without-a-boss-at-7-figures" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"><i>Profit First methodology</i></a><i> to manage my cash flow.</i></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>7:30 AM</b> - Still sipping my coffee. Time for calendar review. Two things: check my meetings, then add any TO DOs to today&#39;s calendar. Today looks manageable: team meeting at 11, EO prep at 2pm, approve LinkedIn content ideas. I add in drive time, lunch and workouts.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>7:45 AM</b> - Dog walk and quiet time. My giant schnauzer is already at the door, tail wagging like this is the best thing ever. We do our 20-minute loop around the park. This is when my brain shifts from tactical to strategic thinking. No phone, no podcasts, just me, the dog, and whatever ideas surface.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Today I&#39;m processing last night&#39;s EO call about subscription models. Could we add recurring revenue to our industrial water business? The dog investigates every tree while I mentally sketch out a potential maintenance service offering.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>8:30 AM</b> - Breakfast and notifications. Usually eggs and toast or oatmeal while scanning notifications. My content manager posted at 5am on <a class="link" href="https://www.linkedin.com/posts/noemikis_3-years-ago-i-was-terrified-to-post-on-linkedin-activity-7370071835574484992-7fNd?utm_source=noemikis.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=a-day-in-the-life-what-a-normal-day-looks-like-without-a-boss-at-7-figures" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">LinkedIn.</a> 147 comments already. The audience loves authentic founder stories lately.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>9:00 AM</b> - In my home office, start the day. Decision time: which fire needs attention first? Content manager sent post ideas for review, there&#39;s a $12K fulfillment issue, ops manager Slacks that we got a new Lovable sponsor deal, and last week’s app idea is still bouncing around my head.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>9:30 AM</b> - After guiding my team to put out fires, I open <a class="link" href="https://lovable.dev/?utm_source=noemikis.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=a-day-in-the-life-what-a-normal-day-looks-like-without-a-boss-at-7-figures" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Lovable</a> and start sketching a founder productivity tool. There&#39;s something magical about building when your brain is fresh.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>11:00 AM</b> - Team standup. Last week&#39;s metrics: 23 new leads, $47K closed orders, 155 new newsletter subs, 1,985 new LinkedIn followers, 3 new brand sponsorships closed. We identify cracks in the foundation BEFORE they become problems. Leads from SEO dropped again, we note it and add action items to fix it. Everyone on the team is clear on their weekly actions, no blockers. Let’s go.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>11:30 AM</b> - Full flow state. Planning next week&#39;s theme: &quot;What they don&#39;t tell you about 7-figure businesses.&quot; I share war stories, she polishes them into scroll-stopping content. My highest value isn&#39;t in execution; it&#39;s in vision and strategy.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>*Quick note: I used to do everything myself - talking to customers, making sales, packing orders. (and loved being hands on) But that only works in the early phase and at some point you become a bottleneck. To scale, you&#39;ll have to let go and automate.</i></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Here are the top lessons that actually changed everything:</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Lesson #1: Your morning 60 minutes set the foundation. </b>Coffee + financials + calendar + dog walk (quiet time) for me. When I nail this foundation, everything flows. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Lesson #2: Habit stack the hard stuff with things you already love.</b> I&#39;ve cracked the code on consistency by pairing my financial & calendar review with my coffee addiction. When you link a new habit to an existing ritual you love, it becomes automatic.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Lesson #3: Know your numbers daily, not quarterly.</b> Five minutes of finance review creates clarity. You can&#39;t make good decisions without good data, and you can&#39;t get good data without daily habits. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Lesson #4: Energy management &gt; time management.</b> That 3pm workout isn&#39;t just about fitness, it&#39;s about recharging when I know I&#39;ll hit a wall. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Lesson #5: One quick weekly team meeting.</b> Get your team on the same page, remove blockers and get the whole team to focus on the weekly goals.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What&#39;s your highest leverage daily habit? My aunt was a top-tier lawyer.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">From a young age, I picked up the message loud and clear: </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If you want to be valued, you’d better be successful.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So I chased the next thing. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Then the next. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Degrees. Milestones. Launches. Recognition.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I wore busyness like armor.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Every win gave me a high. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Every new project made me feel important.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But slowly, I noticed something.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>Doing nothing</i> made me anxious. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If I wasn’t producing, I felt like I was wasting time. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Like I was falling behind.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So I kept going. Until I burned out, again.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Only this time, rest didn’t fix it.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Here’s what finally clicked for me:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>I don’t need more surface level tasks, I need depth and focus.</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The real shift is learning to focus on <i>what actually matters</i> and letting the rest go.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Here’s the tried and the 5-step process:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>1. Dump Everything Out</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Grab a piece of paper or open a doc. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Write down everything on your plate.</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The side project you’re half-invested in </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">That new business idea that’s going nowhere</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The low paying extra client work you took on </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The 10 podcasts you have on your to do list</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Get it all out. If it takes time or energy, it counts.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>2. Ask: What’s It Costing You?</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Time is the obvious one.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But also ask: </p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Does this drain or energize me? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Is it pulling me away from what I really want to build? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Am I doing it out of excitement, or fear of missing out?</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Spoiler: most of my list was costing more than it was giving.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>3. What’s Actually Worth It?</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Now look at what’s <i>paying off</i> - not just financially.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Ask yourself:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Is this helping me grow in the direction I want? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Does it align with what I <i>actually</i> care about? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Would I choose to do this again if I wasn’t already committed?</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If the answer is no… you know what to do.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>4. Cut Ruthlessly</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This is where it gets real.</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Cancel the stuff that doesn’t matter </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Wrap up the loose ends </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Hit pause on anything that can wait </p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Doing less doesn’t mean lowering the bar. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">It means raising your standards for what gets your energy.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>5. Plan Like a Human, Not a Robot</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I used to set goals like I had unlimited time and zero emotions.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Now I plan for reality:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">How many focused hours do I <i>actually</i> have this week? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What’s my energy like right now? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What season of life am I in?</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I don’t need to be superhuman. Spoiler: most of them came from failing.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Over the years, I’ve launched plenty of ideas that bombed:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A matchmaking service (turns out everyone wants to date a 10).</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A water filter I filed a patent for (that turned water black).</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">White-labeled products on Amazon (no differentiation).</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A virtual engineering platform (great concept, tough to execute).</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A SaaS for manufacturers (overbuilt and overspent).</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I could go on an on, but here’s the point:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This is what success actually looks like.<br><b>Idea 1</b> - Fail<br><b>Idea 2</b> - Fail<br><b>Idea 3</b> - Success<br><b>Idea 4</b> - Fail<br><b>Idea 5</b> - Fail<br><b>Idea 6</b> - Small Success<br><b>Idea 7</b> - Fail</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But here’s what most people do:<br><b>Idea 1</b> - Fail<br><b>Idea 2</b> - Fail<br><b>Give up.</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Why? Because ideas drain your energy. You spend months/years building something, only to discover customers don’t want it. The failure feels so overwhelming that giving up and going back to the comfort zone of a 9-5 feels safer.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">My Survival Strategy:</p><ol start="1"><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Quick Validation Cycles (weeks, not months)</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Talk to customers IMMEDIATELY</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">ONLY do actions that directly move the idea forward</p></li></ol><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Forget:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Websites</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Branding</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Product tweaking</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Endless research</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Taking more courses</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Do THIS Instead:<br>a) Ruthlessly abandon the bad idea, or<br>b) Pivot (only based on real-feedback)</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">That&#39;s the game. Fail fast, fail often. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">With each idea validation, you level up your skills and mindset. Sales. Customer service. Admin. The list never ends.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">At some point, you realize: time is your most valuable asset. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This is when you ask yourself, if you should:</p><ol start="1"><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Automate? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Outsource? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Or keep doing it yourself?</p></li></ol><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Here’s a simple framework that’s worked for me and many others: </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A task decision <a class="link" href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZcPtNraPVSGTVnZ4Ww8qdh5jfrshYo2L4cR7SYaqa8I/edit?usp=sharing&utm_source=noemikis.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=master-outsourcing-automation-for-solopreneurs" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">worksheet</a>. It forces you to look at your time differently. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Here’s how you can use it:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">1. <b>Look at your top 5 time-consuming tasks.</b> </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Tasks that drain hours and energy each week. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This is where your potential for efficiency lies.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">2. <b>Ask the right questions:</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- How often does the task occur?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- Is it repetitive and simple, or does it require judgment?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- Does it need expertise you don’t have?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- Does it involve direct client interaction?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- Does consistency matter?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">- Is it time-sensitive or data-sensitive?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">3. <b>Weigh the costs of automation vs. outsourcing.</b> </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Some tasks are no-brainers for automation. Think: repetitive, simple, non-client facing work. If it happens daily and only requires minimal setup—automate it.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Example: Every time you get a new order, you have to:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Enter the customer into your CRM</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Send an order confirmation email</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Submit the order to your fulfillment team (which could also be you)</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This entire process can be automated using tools like Zapier or Make. No human involvement needed—it’s pure back-end work. In addition automation cuts down on errors.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">It’s a no-brainer.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Others? </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Outsource it. Especially for tasks that are complex, require judgment, or involve direct client interaction. These are best handled by someone with the right expertise.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Outsourcing shines when you’ve already built a process. If there’s a system in place that someone can follow without needing to make many decisions, that’s your signal to delegate. You’re not just buying time—you’re ensuring the job gets done well without your constant oversight.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">4. <b>Do the math.</b> </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">How much time are you currently spending on this task? </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What’s the value of that time in dollars? </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If you’re spending more time (and money) doing a task yourself than it would cost to outsource or automate—it’s time to make the switch.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">At the end of this process, you’ll have two clear buckets:</p><ol start="1"><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Automation</b>: Tasks you do repeatedly and don’t need specialized knowledge.</p></li></ol><ol start="2"><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Outsourcing</b>: Higher complexity, client-facing tasks that require judgment or skills you don’t have—and take longer to implement.</p></li></ol><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">5. <b>Make the decision.</b> </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">For each task, decide: automate, outsource, or keep doing it yourself. Once you’ve made the call, it’s time to research tools or services to get started.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Your time is too valuable to waste on tasks that can be automated or outsourced. </style><div class='beehiiv__body'><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Hi there!</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Let’s be honest:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Year-long goals usually get forgotten.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I used to be that person - setting these big, ambitious 12-months goals, </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Then wondering why I barely made any progress halfway through the year.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The reason was simple:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I was overwhelming my brain.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">And that’s exactly what most people do.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">They don’t say “I’m going to lose 1 kg every month”</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">They say “I’m going to lose 15 kgs this year”</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">That huge goal feels exciting at first, but eventually, it just becomes this massive, distant target that’s hard to stay motivated for.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I realized I needed to do something different if I wanted to stop falling behind.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So, I made a change.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Instead of thinking in terms of the whole year, I broke everything down into 3-month sprints.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">And that’s when everything changed.</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I built a 7 figure business.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Became a regular at the gym.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">And also started a second business.</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Today, I want to the exact system I used to do all this.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Here’s how it works:</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Step 1: Break the Big Goal into Quarterly Sprints</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">A 12-month goal feels massive. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But when you break it into 3-month chunks, it feels more manageable.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Let’s say you have a goal to generate $100K in new revenue this year.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Instead of staring at that big number for months, divide it into quarterly sprints:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Quarter 1: Generate $25K in new revenue.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Quarter 2: Refine your process, generate another $25K.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Quarter 3: Automate or scale, generate $30K.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Quarter 4: Optimize and finish strong with $20K more.</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Now, instead of a huge goal, you’re focusing on clear, smaller targets. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">That’s a $25K sprint, which is WAY easier to wrap your head around.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Action Step: Take your top goal for the year and break it down into 3-month chunks. Focus only on your first sprint for now. Companies use quarterly goals for this exact reason.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Step 2: Set Clear, Measurable Milestones</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Once you have your 3-month sprint defined, get specific about how you’re going to measure success.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">For example, if your goal is to grow your email list by 10,000 subscribers in 3 months, you need to break it down even further:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Month 1: 3,000 new subscribers</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Month 2: 3,500 new subscribers</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Month 3: 3,500 new subscribers</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">These are clear, trackable milestones that let you know if you’re on target or if you need to adjust your strategy.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>Action Step: </i>Define monthly milestones for your sprint. Make them specific and measurable, so you know exactly what success looks like each month.</p><hr class="content_break"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>Step 3: Plan Weekly Actions That Drive Results</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Every week, I create a simple plan with 3-5 key tasks that move the needle. I prioritize actions that directly impact my quarterly goal.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">For example, if my goal is to add 3,000 new email subscribers this month, my weekly plan might look like this:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Week 1: Launch a new lead magnet and promote it on social channels.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Week 2: Run a small Facebook ad campaign to test conversions.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Week 3: Collaborate with a partner for a webinar or guest post.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Week 4: Evaluate ad performance and double down on what works.</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">This weekly action plan keeps me focused on what matters. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>Action Step: </i>Plan your next week. Write down the 3-5 tasks that will have the biggest impact on your goal.
