Our Children’s Hospital Blood Drive is scheduled for this Friday, March 20th at the market, but we currently don’t have enough donors signed up to keep the drive on the schedule. If 10 more people don’t sign up by tomorrow (Monday), the hospital will have to cancel.

Children’s Hospital is experiencing a serious blood shortage right now, and every pint of blood literally helps save the life of a baby or child receiving care there.

To continue, we must raise $500 per week to provide nutritious, organic produce delivered directly to our neighbors’ doors by local volunteers 🚗💚. We’re currently 53% of the way to our sponsorship goal and counting 📊!

🚨BREAKING NEWS! SoCal Edison has graciously offered to pause their roadwork on Topanga Canyon Blvd this coming Friday to help benefit local businesses during the holiday shopping season and allow for a better flow of traffic through the canyon. CalTrans will still be continuing their important work on the s-curves between Grandview and PCH, but the pause in construction within the center of the canyon is going to help immensely — allowing you to come and shop the market and the rest of our amazing Topanga businesses without sitting in traffic!

The SoCalEdison work will be paused starting Dec 19 thru Dec 28. Their crews will return on December 29 and 30. Then they will be off until Jan 5, 2026.

As we move through December, we want to share a transparent update about where we are and what we’re working toward as we close out the year. Our focus remains on two essential priorities:

1. Fund our ‘Produce Box for Neighbors in Need’ Program through 2026

2. Covering basic operating costs so we can continue running the market

This season has been especially tough for our community. In the aftermath of the fires and during an already demanding time of year, fundraising has been slower and more difficult than usual. We deeply understand how much has been asked of everyone lately, and it hasn’t been easy to ask again. Still, sustaining this work simply isn’t possible without community support.

Thanks to the generosity we’ve received so far, we’re now over halfway toward our $45,000 goal. Reaching it will ensure that neighbors who depend on our produce boxes continue to receive fresh, healthy food—and that our Friday market remains a place of connection, nourishment, and support.

We are reaching out with full hearts and a humble ask. As many of you know, our little canyon community has weathered so much this past year, and through it all, you’ve continued to show up for one another in the most beautiful ways. We’re deeply grateful for that.

Right now, we’re working hard to raise the funds we need for two things that matter enormously to our community:

We know many of you look forward to your Friday market routine, and we’ll miss seeing all of your smiling faces this week, but pulling off a market the day after Thanksgiving would mean our vendors spending the holiday picking and prepping instead of enjoying time with their loved ones.

We know you’ll miss us (it’s mutual), but consider this your official permission to skip the post-holiday frenzy, sleep in a little, and Opt Outside. Hit your favorite trail, reconnect with the canyon, and let nature—not Black Friday—set the tone.

After last year’s fires, World Central Kitchen generously partnered with us to provide fresh, organic produce boxes to seniors in the canyon who are housebound or neighbors experiencing financial hardship.

Now, as we approach the one-year anniversary of the fires, that funding will conclude at the end of December 2025. To continue supporting our neighbors in need - many of whom now rely on these deliveries - we need to raise $500 per week to keep the program going.

For just $20 per week, you can provide a canyon senior or neighbor in need with a box of nutritious, organic produce delivered right to their doorstep by our incredible local volunteers.
That’s $480 for 6 months or $960 for a full year—a tangible way to make a direct and lasting impact in someone’s life.

THIS FRIDAY - Donate Non-Perishable Goods to the Topanga Women’s Circle

Topanga Women’s Circle (TWC) will be at the Market collecting donations to help stock kitchens in the transitional apartments they prepare for families moving out of homelessness.

Stop by their booth to learn more, drop off much-needed non-perishable food items, or contribute to their efforts in giving local families a fresh start. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference. 💛

TWC is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping homeless families transition into stable housing. By providing essential household items, they help ensure each family is welcomed into a clean, comfortable, and dignified home as they begin a new chapter.

CHEESE!!! 🧀 Family-run Achadinha Cheese Company (pronounced Osh-a-deen-a—you’re welcome) makes award-winning farmstead cheeses on their 230-acre Petaluma ranch. Their herd of goats and cows graze lush pastures, producing seasonal favorites like aged Capricious, Greek-style feta, fresh curds, and the beloved Broncha. They also craft probiotic yogurt and butter—all made sustainably and without preservatives.

Kids Music at the Market with Brafo: Fall Dates

We’d love to offer music every Friday, but to make that possible, we need more families to help contribute $15 per class. Here's the link to send your donation via Venmo. 100% of the contributions go directly to our amazing music educator, Brafo!

Supporting Our Local Non-Profits: California Wildlife Center

The California Wildlife Center (CWC) rescues, rehabilitates, and releases wild animals in the greater LA area who might otherwise suffer from human encroachment, habitat loss, and environmental damage.

This Friday is the last market to bring your donations for CWC - we’re collecting pillowcases, flat sheets, empty toilet paper rolls and empty tissue boxes for CWC’s rehab center in Monte Nido. Lightly used pillowcases and sheets provide soft, reusable bedding that lines enclosures, offers comfort during healing, and supports dozens of injured and orphaned wildlife patients over time.

The cardboard toilet paper tubes and tissue boxes are used as enrichment items—often filled with food to help teach juvenile patients how to forage, practice natural behaviors, and prepare for life back in the wild.

After last week’s heat, we’re looking forward to a much cooler Friday—at least 10 degrees cooler—and the perfect weather to stroll the market. This Friday, Topanga Women’s Circle (TWC), will be at the Topanga Farmers Market collecting donations to support their mission: gently used, clean toys, children’s books and art supplies. Stop by to learn more, drop off these much-needed items, or contribute to their efforts in giving local families a fresh start. Every donation makes a difference!

TWC is a volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping homeless families as they move into transitional housing. By providing essential household items, TWC ensures these families are welcomed into a clean, comfortable, and dignified space as they begin a new chapter.
