This weeks feature city is Charleston, South Carolina, USA. For fashion lovers, Charleston’s shopping scene is a delight. King Street, particularly, is renowned for its high-end boutiques, vintage shops, and designer stores. Every October, Charleston holds the annual Southern Style Now Festival, celebrating Southern fashion, art, and design with workshops, pop-up shops, and talks by designers and artists.

Outfit Inspiration: Halloween

We are in a panic! How did it get to be the end of October? I have a last min work event, an invite to a seance (what does one wear to a seance?!) and dressing up to give candy to the kids in the neighborhood.

That said, we love Halloween - even if it means the turn of the season and it sets us into a last minute frenzy. I love the creativity other people have, the intense decorating that happens for a few short days, the faux cob webs and the momentary celebration of what is usually the underdogs of pop culture. Bats, snakes, spooky and scary.

I usually like to find a costume that I can use my own clothes. I don't mind picking up some accessories but usually I don’t buy a whole pre-made costume. We scoured social for great examples of costumes and I saved all the accessories I was looking at for my costumes here.

Vancouver is one of our favourite cities for a daytime lifestyle and one of the few worldwide where the mountains and the ocean are right together. Fashion wise you will see a broad range of styles from relaxed to high end. This past week we saw everyone was squeezing out the last of the nice weather and clinging onto some summer fashion.

Shanghai Fashion Week just wrapped up and wow is this city picking up its fashion credentials. We were speaking to a fashion friend originally from Shanghai and she was raving about the up and coming Chinese designers who were bringing their own take and culture.

Friends of ours were in Germany this week and so we decided to feature Berlin. Fun fashion fact about Berlin - it is home to the KaDeWe - the largest department store in Europe.

We noticed a few outfits from the streets mixed black and brown items. Did you get a jolt of shock and horror reading that?! There’s a few of these fashion rules - navy and black is another - that split the room. We think these posts show people carrying it off. Canadian Thanksgiving weekend has us counting our blessings, eating and wearing Athleisure favs. Athleisure offers the perfect balance of coziness and style, allowing us to move effortlessly from a morning walk to a family dinner without needing multiple outfit changes. The versatility of leggings, hoodies, and stylish sneakers makes them ideal for both lounging at home and getting outside. This past weekend my golden retriever, Astral, was a little monkey. She's normally a little angel but she had me sprinting across the road for her after she spotted a squirrel. Let's hope my great outfit was more noticeable than my panic and frenzied run!

Fashion week outfits

We hope you are not bored of the Fashion weeks outfits because this week was Paris and there was sooo many great outfits. We also snuck in a fun reel of the Christian Louboutin show with the French Olympic swimming team - in the water, with red soled heels!

Shanghai (Oct 10-18) and Riyadh (Oct 17-21) are the last two after this even though Paris is often thought of as the end of Fashion month. Paris has so many major haute couture brands that the looks on the street were very high end.
