Hi, all!

In 2024, Penguin Random House reached out to ask if I was interested in illustrating their WHO HQ graphic novel about the Hindenburg disaster, written by Chris Kindred!

Today, I’m pleased to say that the book is finally out on shelves! 🥳

Some concept art of the main (and historical) figures from my PATREON / KO-FI!

Concept art of Werner Franz, cabin boy

Concept art of Captain Pruss and journalist Herb Morrison

Hilariously, one of the historical figures that influenced the final design of Hector Asamori (from NewsPrints) was Herb Morrison, so I was very determined to make sure I differentiated how I drew Herb from Hector, LMAO.

I’ve been quiet these past couple of months while working on the final volume of Status Royale! 🎮️

We’ve got another tournament arc coming up with all the drama of old friends and new foes~! And Vell’s team gets a makeover! 👗 ✨ Finally! Team uniforms!!

Of course, the US Army has an esports team! Watch out, Vell and friends!

Cheers! (pencil stage)

Cheers! (final stage, lol)

Hi, all! 🍂

Been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve been working on Status Royale: Volume 3 all year, so let me share a few peeks at the process!

Action! Pencils phase!

Finished artwork!

Adding the ‘user interface’ to their VR world in the artwork!

This volume’s gonna be wild. 😁 Looking forward to sharing it with the world when it comes out and completes the series! For the curious, you can follow along weekly in my work diary on Patreon! ✏️

I visited Japan in October and did some sightseeing! 🇯🇵 A major highlight was when I went to the Tokiwaso Museum in Tokyo!

The Tokiwaso Museum is a famous little apartment where some of the most influential mangaka began their careers in the early 20th century! Including Tezuka Osamu!

Tokiwaso Museum exhibit!

It made me nostalgic for the Tezuka stuff I read/watched when I was younger, and I ended up drawing and posting some Dr. Black Jack on my Patreon. Here’s my favorite of the batch! This is what he looks like in my current style, hehe~

Hi, everyone! It’s been a lot of Status Royale this summer over here, so I thought I’d share some peeks at Volume 3! 🕶️

Jun Jun Jun

I decided to approach this book in the way I used to draw webcomics: I would finish a batch of pages from beginning (pencils) to end (toning), instead of completing the whole book one stage at a time. 🙂 It keeps things fresh, I think, and it’s also just good to switch up the process every once in a while to help prevent burnout.

There will be some familiar faces in volume 3 of Status Royale, too! 😄

Not-Saint and Not-Patrick!?

I’m pulling them from all my stories, actually LOL

Please look forward to them next year! 😉

My 2025 Summer Sketchbook is out now!

Zeph is the cover! ⚔️

Notes and concept art from the Aldric’s Letter Brigade section this year.

Available on my Patreon and Ko-fi!

Maryland folks!

I will be tabling at Small Press Expo again this September 13+14!

I'll be bringing SfR and APPEAL! books, of course. I'm also making a couple of Howl's Moving Castle stickers because I missed drawing Howl! <3

Howl with the guitar he carried around in the novel!

Hi, everyone!

I'm going to be at Bedrock City Con this weekend in Houston! That’s right, I’m back! 😉 This time, at the Stafford Convention Centre! I’m super honored to be invited as a guest by Bedrock City, my favorite local comic book store in H-town!

Instagram post

I'll be there on Saturday 2-4 PM signing books, and I'm trying something new--portfolio reviews in person! 📔 If you're in the area, be sure to swing by table 13 in the Guest area!

I had a great time last month at Small Press Expo! 😁 ❤️ Thank you to everyone who dropped by my table to talk with me about Status Royale and my other stories!

I’m so touched to know how many people still have NewsPrints and APPEAL! thoughts and/or are patiently waiting for the next chapter of Saint for Rent! 🥹 I sold out of my Aldric’s Letter Brigade zines bundles, but once I have enough ALB short stories, I simply must compile them into a proper book!

(Also, one of my fanfic readers sent their partner to my table to get books, LOL! Thank you for the giggle we had, it’s always a fun and flattering surprise when fandom readers like my writing so much that they want to pick up my original work~ 🤭)

Happy 30th anniversary, SPX! 🎉
