I've been eyeing a target of $75K to $100K for Bitcoin's next all-time high for a while now.

Standard Chartered's prediction aligns with that range, but the price could climb way higher, especially with a Bitcoin ETF on the horizson.

So right now, I'm leaning bullish, but I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket. There's always a risk to the downside – so I’m proceeding with a bit of caution.

That’s why a significant chunk of my portfolio is sitting in cash, ready to pounce on any "buy the dip" opportunities on Bitcoin and over 70 other tokens in my portfolio.

Changpeng Zhao, famously known as "CZ", the founder and CEO of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, is in a bit of a pickle.

CZ recently plead guilty to violations concerning anti-money laundering laws in the U.S. Consequently, he's stepping down from his role as the CEO of Binance., but there’s a lot more to it than that.

📜 Reading Between the Lines

CZ's guilty plea is part of a larger settlement, which includes a staggering $3+ billion payment by Binance. Despite not being in jail at this moment, CZ is not off the hook and could potentially serve jail time. The specifics of his sentencing will be determined in February 2024.

What is a Bitcoin Halving and Does it Make The Price Go Up?

So, you've probably heard some chatter about Bitcoin halving, but what's it all about? Is it like a magic ritual where your Bitcoin gets sliced in half?

Not quite. Let's unpack this.

The big guaranteed BTC price pump?

Every four years, Bitcoin goes through a "halving" event.

Picture this: You're a miner (not the one with a pickaxe, but the one with a supercharged computer) mining Bitcoin.

Halving is like your boss suddenly telling you that your paycheck will be half from now on. Ouch, right?

In technical terms though, Bitcoin halving cuts the reward for mining new blocks in half. This happens every 210,000 blocks.

The last halving was in 2020, and the next one's due in 2024.

Why do this?

It's Bitcoin's way of enforcing scarcity – there's a cap of 21 million Bitcoins, and halving helps us inch towards that cap without flooding the market.

📜 Reading Between the Lines

• Scarcity = Value?: Basic economics tells us that lower supply with steady demand usually leads to higher prices. Bitcoin's design mimics precious metals like gold, which are valuable partly because they're scarce.

• Past Patterns: After previous halvings in 2012, 2016, and 2020, Bitcoin's price indeed shot up. But remember, past performance is like using last year's weather forecast for today – it doesn't guarantee future results.

• Market Maturity: Bitcoin is a bit of a drama queen in the financial market. Its price reacts to many factors like regulatory news, tech developments, and market sentiment. So, halving is just one piece of the puzzle.

• Investor Expectations: Many investors circle halving dates on their calendars like it's Bitcoin's birthday, expecting a price rally. This anticipation can drive market behavior.

• Long-Term View: For the HODLers (aka holders of crypto) and potential investors, understanding halving helps you appreciate Bitcoin's design and its potential as a 'digital gold'.

In short, while halving tends to create buzz and historically correlated with price jumps, it's not a magic "price increase" button.

The crypto market is still like a wild rollercoaster, and Bitcoin halving is one of those loops that can make it even wilder (as in, more risky).

PayPal Launches It’s Own Cryptocurrency

PayPal recently launched its own stablecoin, PayPalUSD (PYUSD), backed by the US dollar and built on Ethereum.

This cryptocurrency token, fully backed by U.S. dollar deposits, can be used for person-to-person payments, purchases at checkouts, and transfers between PayPal and other wallets.

Why is this such a big deal?

1/ Mainstream Adoption: PayPal’s crypto cannonball shows they mean digital business. No longer the stuff of tech wizards, crypto's hitting Main Street.

2/ New Opportunities for Users: PYUSD extends a hand to PayPal’s users, opening up the world of crypto without the rollercoaster ride of value.

3/ Built on Ethereum: Constructed on Ethereum, a blockchain with street cred, PYUSD sets the stage for trust and integration with decentralized finance.

What Are Stablecoins?

Stablecoins are like the designated drivers of the cryptocurrency world – they keep things steady.

Unlike Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies known for wild price fluctuations, stablecoins aim to maintain a consistent value, usually pegged to existing fiat currencies like the US dollar.

Here's how they stand out:

Stability (of course!): As the name suggests, stablecoins aim to provide a stable value. Think of them as the slow and steady tortoises in the crypto race.

SBF Jailed: The Gavel Drops on FTX Founder

The big update…

It seems like former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) was tackled not on a football field but in the courtroom.

While on house arrest in California, awaiting trial on charges of fraud and money laundering over FTX’s collapse, he was using a VPN to catch an NFL game.

An innocuous enough act, you'd think, but the judge thought otherwise. That, along with SBF's attempt to contact a witness over Signal, has led to the revocation of his $250 million bail. He now finds himself jailed, a sudden turn of events in the ongoing saga of FTX's implosion.

This development follows allegations of witness tampering, specifically sharing documents used in a New York Times article about his ex and former co-CEO of Alameda Research, who has pleaded guilty and is cooperating as a witness.

He also attempted to contact FTX's general counsel, actions that did not escape the watchful eye of Judge Lewis A. Kaplan.

ETH price is up over 425,500% as it turns 8 years old

I feel like anyone with a 4,000X return would react like this 😂 

The big price pump…

Some people may never experience the insane gains crypto can bring.

In crypto…

A 5X is like a right of passage.

A 10X in crypto is pretty normal.

A 30X happens often.

And if you get in at the right time, and hold through the tough times, you might even achieve a 4,000X return (yes, four THOUSAND times your investment).

That’s what happened to the people that got ETH back in 2015.

In fact, check out ETH’s price chart from 2015 to today.

The wild thing is that ETH down 60% from its all time high.

That means if you had ETH from 2015 (just 8 years ago), and sold at the top of the bull market of 2021, you would have made a 1,134,400% gain or a 11,344X return on your investment. Woooooah!! 👀

Most people will never see the kinds of gains that crypto brings, but you CAN since you’re here and scooping up this valuable knowledge. 😉

What is FUD in Crypto? Explained in simple terms

Imagine it's a beautiful Friday morning, and you're cozied up with a warm cup of coffee and your favorite cereal, skimming through the latest news in the crypto world – when a headline sends your heart plummeting.

Crypto Market Crash! Bitcoin Down 50%!

That, my friends, is a classic example of FUD - Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.

It's enough to make even the bravest of crypto enthusiasts spill their coffee.

But what exactly is FUD, and why should you care?

Let's dive into it.

FUD in Crypto: Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt

FUD, a term coined in the stock market and borrowed by the crypto world, stands for Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.

In the simplest terms, it's a strategy used to influence perception by spreading negative, misleading, or false information.

Imagine it as an infectious disease, a virus.

It starts with a simple cough (a rumor), which then spreads and mutates into a flu (panic selling). Before you know it, we have a pandemic (market crash).

Why?

Because FUD often triggers a negative psychological reaction, causing investors to sell their crypto holdings in fear of a market crash.

Which leads me to the next big question…

Is the crypto market about to crash?

It difficult to predict if/when a big market crash will happen, but let’s look at some evidence….

There was a big hack on Curve Finance that many predict will cause a collapse in DeFi prices.

Binance is still fighting serious allegations – and if they go down, make no mistake, crypto markets will suffer.

And then there’s the imminent crash of ETH’s price against BTC, that crypto analyst just highlighted (again).

In short, people think something bad is about to happen, which leads me to my next point.

🤔 Why you should care

FUD is like an invisible hand that can steer the crypto market, as well as your investment portfolio, towards turbulence.

And that’s never a good thing.

But a balanced crypto portfolio and the right approach can help you ignore FUD and prosper.

For example, my RACI system of crypto investing ensures my portfolio has the right mix of crypto assets.

That way, if the market crashes, I’m not losing sleep. If the market goes way up, I ride the wave and profit big time.

In fact getting a 10X return on crypto investments is pretty normal to me.

Plus, FUD doesn’t scare me like it used to back in the day.

I realize now that most of it is just that… FUD.

Steer Through The Crypto FUD

If Bitcoin crashes you can bet that your Uncle Johnny is probably gonna rub it in your face.

“See, I told you… this Bitcoin stuff is going to ZERO!”

But just because Uncle Johnny hates crypto, doesn’t mean you should avoid making life-changing gains.

Remember that fortune favors the brave.

When others see doom, savvy investors often find opportunity.

Don't let the FUD stop you from capitalizing on potential buying opportunities.

This is often when you'll find gems at a discount.

In fact, I consider crypto to be at really good prices right now.

Sure we might go down from here before we come back up, but there’s a good chance we WON’T go down much at all, so this could be your big chance to get in a good prices.

Cryptocurrencies, like any other asset, have cycles. So I’m using secure platforms like Kraken to buy crypto every single week. 👍️ 

Whichever exchange you choose, just be sure it’s trusted and secure. 🔒️ 

And average into the coins you like, rather than blowing it all in one go. That way you’ll always something extra to take advantage of good opportunities.

Curve Finance hack – Here’s what happened

Over the weekend, I was sipping on my morning chai tea like most mornings happily perusing the latest crypto news – when I discovered that Curve (CRV), one of the tokens in my expansive crypto portfolio, got a swift punch in the gut. 👊 

Hackers had exploited a weakness in the system, making away with a cool $50 million. Ouch!

Here’s what happened.

The big hack…

In case you’re scratching your head, let me quickly explain what went down.

Curve uses something called liquidity pools.

In the simplest terms, these pools are a stash of tokens that help keep the crypto market fluid and working smoothly.

Think of it like your favorite coffee shop. They have a bunch of coffee beans (tokens) that they use to make a tasty brew (crypto market) for their customers.

Without the beans, there's no coffee. Without the tokens, there's no market.

Unfortunately, it turns out there was a bug in the code, or 'programming language,' that the pools used. The hackers, like caffeine addicts needing their fix, found a loophole and took advantage of it.

Big Risk for Big Opportunities?

It’s no secret that the world of crypto can be as unpredictable as the plot of a telenovela.

That’s why it’s essential to have a safety net.

Enter the RACI system (Rational Asymmetric Crypto Investing), my personal investment strategy for the crypto market.

I use RACI to spread my investments across a variety of coins and tokens, some of which are riskier than others, like our dear friend, CRV.

In fact, do you wanna know the current percentage value of CRV tokens in my crypto portfolio?

*Drum roll please* 🥁 

A whopping 0.25% (yes, zero point 2-5). That’s way less than 1%.

My Curve (CRV) tokens make up 0.25% of my ENTIRE portfolio. Cheers to risk management 🍻 

On top of that, you can see that my CRV position is still up over 77% (in the bear market no less).

One of the reasons for that is I sold most of my CRV during the 2021 bull market (prices were rocketing so I decided to “take some money off the table”.)

The real point here though, is that with a position of less than 1% the effects of this hack feel like a strand of hair dropping on my head – virtually nothing.

And that leads me to my next point.

The power of the diversified portfolio ⚡️ 

But with a diversified portfolio and a cap on how much I put into riskier assets, the impact of any individual token taking a tumble isn't as cataclysmic.

It's like having a favorite coffee bean, but still trying others, so if one harvest fails, you still have plenty of options for your morning cup of joe.

In other words, my CRV position isn’t enough to ruin me, but it’s still enough to make a meaningful change in my life if the market goes up the way I expect in the next year.

🤔 Why you should care…

One of the projects behind a token I own, CRV DAO Token, got hacked, but I didn’t lose a wink of sleep last night.

And you might be thinking, "Why should I care so much about Curve getting hacked?"

Well, this is a crypto cautionary tale.

It reminds us that while crypto can offer huge rewards, there are ALWAYS risks involved too.

That's why having a diversified portfolio is so important.

Just remember, no matter how tempting that bean, or token, might look, always make sure to hedge your bets.

Just like you wouldn’t drink only one type of coffee for the rest of your life, don’t put all your crypto eggs in one basket either.

Stay smart, and stay diversified.

Bitcoin Volatility is at 3-year Low 📉 

The big slump…

While crypto markets are notorious for their unpredictable (and raging) volatility, this year has been an anomaly.

Why?

Bitcoin's volatility has hit a three-year low, showing a steady trend downward.

The world's largest cryptocurrency, which has typically swung wildly in price, has seen a steady climb from its low of $15,500 late last year, now around the $30,000 mark.

This pattern isn't just seen in Bitcoin - volatility is falling across all cryptocurrencies, even Ether which has historically been more volatile than Bitcoin.

1/ They're so boring, that most people just sit on the sidelines.

How much bitcoin should you own? BlackRock’s brightest say 84.9%

Bitcoin goes up and down. But BlackRock thinks it’s going uuuuuuup long-term 🚀 

One of the things that people wanna know is how to diversify their investment portfolio.

If you’re in any way part of this curious group of people, you’re in luck!

Why?

Because 3 BlackRock employees took it upon themselves to conduct some research, and here’s what they came up with.

The big claim…

In late 2022, a group of BlackRock’s brightest did a thorough evaluation of what a profitable portfolio would look like.

This research is obviously being noticed now that BlackRock has filed for a Bitcoin ETF.

Anyway, in their quest to come up with the best risk- reward portfolio, they landed on this

• 9.06% in stocks

• 6.04% in bonds

And *drumroll please*

• 84.9% in BTC

Yup. You read that right, and here’s proof (not that I don’t think you believe me, we’re friends after all!)

Yup, they said “a LARGE 84.9%”!

How much bitcoin should you own as part of your crypto portfolio?

We already know what BlackRock thinks when it comes to your overall portfolio of stocks, bonds, and crypto.

But if you were to break down your crypto portfolio, how much of it would ideally be Bitcoin?

Well, it depends…

I know – easy answer right? Actually, not really.

It really comes down to how much risk you wanna take, and how much upside you’re looking for.

My RACI crypto investment system (Rational Asymmetric Crypto Investing) is focused on reducing risk to near zero, while maxing out your gains.

Part of that system is having the right allocation breakdown.

Here are the 4 levels I use to decide how much Bitcoin and which cryptos should be in my portfolio:

1 - Core Cryptos – Safest and most conservative.

2- Growth Cryptos – Not as well known as core cryptos, but have a solid reputation and a growing user base.

3- High Risk Cryptos – Higher potential returns but more risky.

4- Speculative Cryptos – Even higher potential returns but extremely risky.

I won’t get into the weeds today, but understanding these levels and how to distribute your investments among them is crucial.

Think of it as diversifying your crypto flavors - some spicy, some mild, some sweet, all based on your personal palate.

Just as the sun is certain to rise, and your avocado toast is destined to land butter-side down, the rush into Bitcoin is as inevitable as a moody cat meme going viral.

So, why wait until the party’s in full swing?

It’s hard to imagine now that Bitcoin Price is around $30,000, that it once cost just cents!

2/ They do something called a “proof of reserves” that proves they actually hold the Bitcoin and don’t lend it out secretly like FTX did.

When is the best time to buy crypto? When it's BORING, and here's why

The news of the BlackRock's ETF isn’t “news” anymore, Ripple XRP has successfully defeated the SEC, and now... crypto is officially – boring. 🥱 

But don't fall asleep just yet.

A little boredom in the crypto market is good for investors like you and me – here's why.

The big opportunity…

Bitcoin has been trading sideways, along with the rest of the market. It's not the dramatic spectacle we're used to, but here’s where I believe the opportunity is.

Making gains in the market usually happens when one of a few things happen…

1/ There’s blood in the street – this is a metaphor that says the best buying opportunities often emerge amidst market chaos and fear, even when that fear might be our own.

2/ Things are super boring (like they are now) – and that's when the smart money is made, away from the chaotic crowd.

Scenario #1 hasn’t quite played out this year (yet), but scenario #2 is definitely happening right now.

In fact, take a look at this chart of Bitcoin. It’s been trading between ~$31K and $29K for the last month.

My point is that everyone is waiting for something “big” to happen.

And although that big trigger up or down can happen at any moment, now’s the time to pay attention – even though the market feels super boring.

What I’m doing…

While we experience this period of b-o-r-e-d-o-m, I’m doing a 2 things.

1/ Buying more Bitcoin and crypto but being “cautious”

Remember, we could see a crash in Altcoins like I explained the other day, and BTC could dip too. That’s why I’m still buying, but I’m DCA-ing (dollar cost averaging).

In other words, i’m buying right now, but slowly… like a turtle 🐢 until we get more clarity on where the market is going.

2/ Keeping cash on the side in case there’s a bigger buying opportunity

If the crypto market crashes and BTC goes to $20K or lower, you bet ya’ I’m backing up the truck to buy WAY more. I’ll be using secure exchanges like Kraken to get mine.

🤔 Why you should care

Crypto investing isn't just about the thrill of big swings.

It's about spotting the underrated opportunities.

In these 'boring' periods, smart investors get into position.

Why?

Because once the crypto market starts heating up again (as it usually does), you'll be way ahead.

And you won’t let emotions get the best of you because you’ll be prepared for anything.

The market crashes – great, you can buy more.

The market pumps – great, you can ride the wave.

The market stays flat – fine, you can buy in slowly or prepare for the next market move.

Is Coinbase a good investment right now? My views on the ‘COIN’ stock…

The big question…

Is Coinbase the next trillion-dollar company?

There’s no doubt that Coinbase is making big waves in the crypto space. So big in fact, that they just might be on a path to trillion-dollar status.

Here’s a couple of things Coinbase has going for it, that most people miss.

1/ They’ve been around for over 10 years. They’ve survived bear markets too.

2/ They stand up for the crypto space as a whole and didn’t back down to the SEC. They’re no pushover.

3/ When the SEC pretty much said “all these Bitcoin ETF applications, including BlackRock’s are incomplete”, Coinbase was the exchange of choice for most of the ETF applicants to make their filing “legit”.

4/ They’re a leader in a space that’s projected to grow A LOT in the next 5 to 10 years.

But that’s not all…

According to a Twitter thread by Ishan B, Coinbase is stepping up with 4 game-changing aspects:

1. Coinbase Consumer: A super friendly suite of products and services, making access to crypto as simple as pie.

2. Coinbase Institutional: A different level of crypto access for institutions. The big boys play here.

3. Coinbase Services: A powerhouse of additional offerings that push the boundaries of what a crypto platform can do.

4. Coinbase Onchain: Unleashing the power of blockchain like no other.

Plus, the Coinbase's UX/UI is in a league of its own - and they're not shy to charge a premium for it. The user experience is THAT good.

The cherry on top? A whopping 73% of adults trust Coinbase. In the murky waters of crypto exchanges, trust is as good as gold. 🥇 

What’s the Coinbase stock price and should you buy?

The bad news: The SEC seems to be on a crypto warpath, with Coinbase in its crosshairs. They've alleged unlawful activities in securities trades.

This regulatory tug of war is putting pressure on Coinbase and it's impacting their share prices. Add in the cooling off from the crypto winter, and you've got a chilly outlook.

The good news: Despite these challenges, Coinbase is adapting.

Cost-cutting measures and increased efforts to regain trust might just pull them through.

Even with a predicted drop in revenue for 2023, they're expected to generate a positive adjusted EBITDA of $457 million.

And their current valuation? Not a bargain, but not exorbitantly high either.

Big Joe’s ‘Coinbase Conviction’: Despite the regulatory rollercoaster and crypto winter, there's something appealing about Coinbase's resilience and innovation.

However, remember, when you invest in Coinbase stock, you’re investing the crypto market, and the future of crypto.

If there’s a crypto market crash, Coinbase’s stock probably crashes too. If there’s a market pump, Coinbase’s stock goes along for the ride too. 🚀 

The bottom line: 

I’m big on the potential of Coinbase, but until the dust settles with the SEC, I’m treading lightly while I continue to average into my main cryptos.

“Dry powder” in the world of investing means to keep some cash on the sidelines, just in case an opportunity arises.

It’s like another way of saying “save for a rainy day”.

And in the volatile world of crypto, when it rains, it pours – so it’s smart to keep something on the sidelines because you never know what could happen.

In looking at how the markets are now and even with crypto related stocks like Coinbase’s COIN, it helps to have some “powder” on the side to take advantage of opportunities.

This gives you the flexibility to take advantage of sudden market dips and buy more of your favorite coins at a discount.

And not just that, when markets are boring (like they are now), you can either plan your next move, “nibble” at some of your favorite cryptos, or do both.

Either way, the key is not to go all-in at once, but to spread out your purchases over time, a strategy lovingly referred to as Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). ❤️

What is FedNow replacing? The simple 60-second answer

Let's rewind a bit: ⏪️ 

FedNow is replacing the era of delayed gratification in banking.

Previously, transactions were often bound by business hours and processing times, causing delays that could extend into days.

Payments could be sluggish, especially during weekends or holidays.

Conversations between two people often went like this when it came to sending and receiving money.

Recipient: “Did you send the transfer?”

Sender: “Yah, like 3 days ago. Why didn’t you get it already?”

Recipient: 🫠 

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, but this sort of thing is finally coming to an end for millions of Americans, and here’s how.

Now, cue in FedNow

Launched this July, this real-time payments system from the Federal Reserve aims to turbocharge money movement for businesses and individuals.

Imagine going from dial-up internet to high-speed broadband - that's the level of upgrade we're talking about here.

No more waiting for that paycheck to clear or transfer from a friend to come through – it's instant gratification, financial style. 🏦 💨

Why should you perk up?

FedNow signifies a major significant shift in the dynamics of the digital landscape. FedNow could potentially affect the role of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and even influence the adoption of stablecoins.

Still with me? Good. Here's the spicy bit:

As we all know, crypto's prime allure is its decentralization and instant transactions. But what happens when good ol' Uncle Sam offers the same instantaneous payments, without the roller coaster ride of volatility? 🎢 💸

This isn't just about quicker payments.

It's about shifting tectonic plates in the landscape of digital currencies.

FedNow's introduction could curb the necessity for a U.S. CBDC and might give stablecoins a run for their money (pun is clearly intended).

🤔 Why you should care

If FedNow makes the traditional banking system as efficient as crypto, it might just put a dent in crypto's mass adoption or, at the very least, slow things way down.

It's like finally getting that flashy sports car, only to have public transit suddenly become punctual, clean, and free. Lol!

But jokes aside, keep your eyes peeled on the development of FedNow.

Many think it’s a test run for Central Bank Digital Currencies (CDBCs), that could have the government controlling our money in ways that were never possible.

Ben Cowen Warns of an Income Altcoin Crash 💥 

The big warning…

Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen warns us yet again of an incoming crypto crash that’ll see altcoins dropping 40-50%.

In fact he’s warned about the so called Altcoin reckoning before.

But it’s not the kind of crash you might be thinking.

The altcoin crash Cowen is referring to may see the value of altcoins fall in value against Bitcoin’s price (not just against fiat currency).

The big mind-shift in how to value your crypto portfolio 🧠 

Lots of people out there, including Mr. Ben Cowen, would rather value their crypto portfolio in BTC than in dollars.

Why?

They say it gives a better reading on what’s happening with each coin.

So for example, let’s say you had a portfolio consisting of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and a bunch of other altcoins.

Instead of saying your portfolio is worth $46,382.98 in total (number made up for illustration purposes), you’d rather say your whole crypto portfolio is worth 1.59 BTC. Because that’s what the value of your portfolio would be if you converted it to BTC.

Or if the price of Ethereum in dollars was $1,900, based on a $30,000 BTC price you’d say the price of Ethereum was 0.06 BTC.

You getting the hang of this? Good!

What is an altcoin? A simple definition

It’s also important to define what an altcoin is when thinking about all this.

Most people say altcoins are anything other that Bitcoin, but Cowen uses the definition that altcoins are anything outside of Bitcoin AND Ethereum. This is because ETH has become a true blue-chip in crypto with less risk than most others.

Oh and just so you know, at Big Joe Crypto, we use the same altcoin definition. 👍️ 

🤔 Why you should care

If you own any altcoins - cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin and Ethereum - your “alts” could witness a drop of 40-50% in their value against Bitcoin.

This doesn't necessarily mean your portfolio's dollar value will decrease by the same rate, but rather that the BTC value of your altcoins may diminish.

My take for most people is to have a smart allocation of your portfolio.

My RACI system (Rational Asymmetric Crypto Investing) is what keeps me sane, and way more likely to win BIG!

Check out how I allocate my portfolio, so that 50% drops or even 90% drops don’t scare me.

Another crypto wallet hack & warning to use hardware wallets

There’s been recent news of a crypto wallet hack that cost users $31 Million. 👀 

This is just another reminder to use secure wallets to store your crypto.

Remember, there’s NO bank insurance if your crypto goes missing as a result of a wallet hack.

That’s why I use hardware wallets like Ledger.

They look cool, but their security is what really matters.

In my opinion, there’s almost no point in investing in crypto, unless you store it securely.

Otherwise, you’re pretty much throwing your money and your crypto away. 🗑️ 

I can definitely think of better things to throw away, and crypto is not one of them!

When to Sell Crypto – And Why I’m Not Selling (Yet)

There’s a saying in crypto that goes – “HODL”. Yes, that’s a play on the word hold, with the letters re-arranged a bit.

To put it in perspective, think of HODL as the crypto investor's mantra to resist selling off their coins, even when the market gets as shaky as a Chihuahua in a thunderstorm.

Why is this concept so important right now? Let’s dive in!

The big perspective…

I've always said that the crypto world is a lot like riding a rollercoaster – it's full of high peaks, terrifying drops, and a whole lot of thrilling twists and turns in between.

You know what's not thrilling, though? Exiting the ride just when it's about to get interesting.

Right now, I’m seeing signs that it's a pretty good to get into the market rather than sell any of my crypto.

But it's not just a gut feeling talking here; two of the market indicators I use are echoing the same sentiment.

"But wait," I hear you say. "Market indicators? That sounds too much like my 8 AM financial accounting class. Snooze!"

Don’t worry – we're not going to get lost in the weeds. And these indicators are much easier to understand than you might think.

When to sell crypto – Signal #1, the Pi Cycle Top Indicator

First up, let's introduce the star of our show – the Pi Cycle Top Indicator.

This isn't just any indicator, it's an oracle of the crypto world. It's designed to sniff out when Bitcoin's price is about to reach the mountain top before it starts its descent.

Historically, this trusty tool has been extremely accurate, making it a one of my favorite ways to know when to finally hit that sell button. 🔘 

What about Ethereum and other Altcoins, you ask? Well, their price peaks tend to follow Bitcoin's like a younger sibling, lagging weeks or even months behind.

That gives us a handy heads-up to start thinking about offloading those assets when their prices hit the sky.

When to sell crypto – Signal #2, the 2-Year MA (moving average) Multiplier

Our second guiding light is the 2-Year MA (moving average) Multiplier.

This indicator is like a weather forecast for the crypto climate.

As Bitcoin gains acceptance, it faces sunny periods of excitement that spike its price, and stormy bouts of skepticism that plunge it. Spotting these weather patterns can be instrumental in deciding when it's time to sell your precious crypto.

Now, remember, these are just two of the many tools I use to navigate the crypto maze. There's a whole arsenal I use.

🤔 Why you should care

At the end of the day, making gains in crypto is a bit like a game of seesaw – you aim to buy low and sell high.

While it may sound as easy as pie, it can be trickier than a Rubik's cube to get right, because the emotion of greed usually gets the best of people.

That's where our friendly indicators come into play, giving us a nudge when it's time to make a move.

Right now, my indicators are more relaxed than a sloth on a Sunday, signaling it's a grand time to hop aboard the crypto train, rather than disembark.

So that’s exactly what I'm doing.

Holding the crypto I have, and using secure platforms like Kraken to buy more. 👍️

While it's important to buy and cryptocurrencies strategically, it's equally vital to have a well-thought-out plan to sell.

HODLing, which means “hold on for dear life” or simply holding onto your crypto assets for the long term, is a popular way of thinking in crypto.

It's all about staying patient and resisting the urge to sell in a panic during market fluctuations.

However, successful crypto investors don't just HODL blindly.

They have a clear plan for when they'll consider selling.

Having a plan in place ensures that you make rational decisions based on market indicators and your own financial goals, rather than being swayed by emotions like fear or greed.

Remember, while HODLing can is valuable, having a well-defined selling plan is equally important.

That said, stay disciplined, stay informed, and HODL with a plan. 👍️

Alessio Rastani Explains How High Bitcoin’s (BTC) Price Could Go in 2024 📈 

Over the last few months, Bitcoin has shown an impressive upward trend.

A trend so impressive, in fact, that it’s got people talking about BTC Price hitting $100,000 and up within the next year.

But is it really possible?

The big hope…

Just last December Standard Chartered Bank predicted that Bitcoin could fall to $5,000.

Then, just a couple of weeks ago, Standard Chartered (yes the same bank!!!) said Bitcoin could go to $120,000+.

Confused?

Yeah, lots of other people to – which is why we’re taking a good look at what’s going on with the Bitcoin prediction ping-pong. 🏓 

To do this, I’m dissecting the recent video by Alessio Rastani, a well respected crypto analyst and trader.

I’m using his video analysis partly because he’s one of the few people out there I respect in crypto, and also because he doesn’t sensationalize things – just straight facts!

Is a $100,000 Bitcoin Price Possible?

In a refreshing contrast to the flurry of bullish fanfare, Alessio plays it cool in the dizzying world of Bitcoin speculation.

His Youtube video makes a few big observations you need to know…

1/ Market opinion flip-flopping: Alessio finds it amusingly fickle how the Bitcoin “experts” have moved from a bearish blues to a bullish bop recently.

He reminds us that markets are driven by emotion, and at any point people will either say BTC is crashing, or it’s going high than the moon.

That’s why it’s better to rely on facts and data, rather than “news”.

Judge Torres gave a ruling that essentially says - Ripple's XRP is NOT a security…

Which basically means people who buy crypto on exchanges like Kraken, Coinbase and others can do so without breaking the law.

That’s why people are in such a frenzy!

But the part that most people left out of their “breaking news reports” is that Judge Torres also said that XRP IS is a security in some cases.

I know… it's like saying pizza isn’t junk food when eaten at a party, but is when consumed alone. 🍕

Let's break it down 🥸 

1/ When is XRP not a security? When it came to "blind bid" or "programmatic” sales, where Ripple didn't know who the buyer was, the judge ruled those sales did not break securities laws.

In other words, if you bought XRP on an exchange, you’re safe!

2/ When is XRP a security? The judge also ruled that XRP sold directly to institutional investors by Ripple were indeed securities and were thus unlawfully sold.

What's the big takeaway here? 🍽️

Although getting an exact date is more difficult than walking on water, we can use data and key factors that provide clues – and damn good ones!

Bull run factor #1: The length of the current bear market

Just as winter turns into spring, in the world of Bitcoin, bear markets eventually turn into bull markets.

• Bear markets = when prices are falling. 📉 

• Bull markets = when prices are rising. 📈 

Looking back, the previous two bear markets, or "crypto winters" as people often call them, lasted about 2 years. If history decides to rhyme, our current bear market could be over by the end of 2023.

Many experts, who read the market's mood like seasoned weather forecasters, suggest that we might already be seeing the early signs of the next Bitcoin bull run.

If that’s the case, this would also be when the “smart money” starts to place their bets.

Either way, all signs point towards the end of 2023 and into 2024 as the potential start of this anticipated bull market – a possibility that we'll delve into more deeply in the sections below.

Bull run factor #2: Bitcoin halving

Bitcoin halving is a key event that happens every four years. 

During this event, the number of new bitcoins miners can earn as a reward gets cut in half.

This is important because it makes new bitcoins more rare, which can drive up the price if demand remains high.

It's like if suddenly half the amount of gold or new iPhones were produced, their price could go up because there's less to go around.

Historically, these halving events have often led to a surge in Bitcoin's price, triggering the broader market to head into a bull run.

And the next halving is expected in 2024 – so hold on to your hats!

How High Will Prices Go in the Next Crypto Bull Run?

Prices in the broader crypto market largely depend on where Bitcoin goes so we’ll focus on that.

Bitcoin tends to reach its peak price before other cryptos in a bull market top, so here’s a quick peek into what some of the biggest people in crypto think…

• Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance: Zhao is betting on Bitcoin reaching a whopping $100,000 per coin during the next bull run.

• Samson Mow, CEO of JAN3: Mow has an even more ambitious prediction, seeing Bitcoin soar to $1 million per coin within the next five years.

• Willy Woo, Crypto Analyst: Woo forecasts a middle ground, expecting Bitcoin to reach a value of $500,000 per coin in the next market surge.

• Tip Draper, famed investor: Draper believes Bitcoin will hit $250,000+ per coin.

These are pretty big ranges between all the predictions, but the consensus across the industry is that that roughly $75,000 to $100,000 is a “safe high”.

Anything above that would be a nice bonus and the markets could definitely surprise us, as Bitcoin always seems to do.

How Long Will the Next Bull Run Last?

The length of the next bull run is also tricky to predict.

The previous two bull runs lasted for about 3 years, but there is no guarantee that the next bull run will be as long.

However, if the next bull run is driven by institutional adoption and new blockchain technologies, it could potentially last for even longer.

What Are the Best Crypto Coins For Next Bull Run?

Just like betting on race horses, picking the champion cryptos for the next bull run involves a mix of calculated strategy and your own personal goals.

That said, here are some easy ones to look into:

• Bitcoin (BTC) - always leads the market.
  

• Ethereum (ETH) - another market leader that some think could even “flip” Bitcoin, meaning its market cap could outpace Bitcoin.

Anything outside of these two in my opinion carry considerably more risk.

In a surprising twist worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster, Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, has made a dramatic turn and VERY public, towards Bitcoin.

Yes, we're talking about the infamous crypto exchange FTX, which is preparing for a complete overhaul.

Is ETH’s Price About to Collapse?

The crypto crystal ball gazers are at it again, and the prognosis for Ethereum isn't rosy. 🫣 

Benjamin Cowen, a crypto analyst with a YouTube following nearing the population of North Dakota, predicts a potential tumble for ETH against its heavyweight opponent, Bitcoin (BTC).

If fact, he’s been sharing Twitter posts with scary looking charts and predictions like this one…

According to Cowen, Ethereum's value could plummet by more than 45% from here. Imagine bungee jumping off the Grand Canyon with a rubber band, and you've got the idea. It's a staggering drop that could potentially cause a massive shift in the crypto market.

Now, it's not all doom and gloom.

Cowen foresees a possibility for ETH to stage a recovery rally, much like Rocky Balboa in the later rounds, after this drastic dip. But this isn't about to happen overnight. It's a slow burn, a marathon rather than a sprint.

In the short term, ETH's record has been as erratic as a drunken sailor, with a series of lower highs. But if we zoom out a little, we also see higher lows over a longer period, which could indicate a potential recovery.

But (and it's a big but), any bullish trend won't start to show its face until Ethereum has hit the metaphorical gym, lost a few pounds, and slugged it out in the ring - essentially, gone through the necessary corrective move.

The prediction essentially sees Ethereum's trajectory akin to a rollercoaster, dropping down before it can build momentum to climb back up.
