It is still a few months to Christmas, but memecoin traders are already giving Santa ideas. 

Memecoin traders decided to play inverse Santa, conducting DDoS attacks on renowned X profiles, but this was not like any other DDoS attack. This time, the victims ended up richer than before.

The whole scene was set by Paid, a launchpad that allows anyone to direct token fees to X users through the new X money feature. 

Some X users received free money, with some accounts making hundreds of thousands of dollars through fees redirected to them.

In another episode of the crazy things in crypto, the clips coming out from Korea’s blockchain week are insane! 

Apparently, perps trading as esports is gradually going mainstream. Players like Jadoodoo are reaching celebrity status, thrilling onlookers with PnLs, reactions, and just the performance art of it all.

While this feels a bit exciting for some, it has also been met with criticism. A few enthusiasts think it is evidence that the state of crypto conferences is in shambles.

A few weeks ago, we told you that options were making a comeback and even mentioned that we had some research on an exciting options platform coming through the ranks soon.

This week, TradFi trading venue and exchange operator, Cboe, and popular index creator, S&P, announced that they are exploring tokenized options.

Covenants attempt to deepen a relationship that should have been central to DeFi from the beginning: the relationship between open financial infrastructure and user privacy. 

They layer over existing chains, so devs don't need to become cryptographers. Token sales get better too. You've sealed bids that are revealed only at the deadline, so nobody anchors on anyone else's price.

We're living through one of the wildest stretches in financial history, and if your brain has started running the "how do I retire by next summer" math, that's completely normal.

Earlier this morning, Binance announced that it’s finally going to list the HYPE token. They might be embarrassingly late, but well, here we are.

On the news of the listing, instead of pumping, HYPE started bleeding. At one point, it dropped below the $90 threshold as well. 

Gone are the days when a Binance listing would act as a catalyst. These days, it’s pretty much just “sell the news.” 

Anyways, did they miss their moment? Is all this irrelevant? Have they f*cked with holder alignment? I think the answer is pretty obvious.

Variational released its TGE deets a few hours back and 32% of its supply is going to be airdropped to users, fully unlocked. 

Alongside, 100% of revenue directed to the treasury will be used to buy back and burn VAR.

And, this is just the beginning. In Justin’s words, “There’s a lot we haven’t shared yet. Time to dream bigger.”

Hyperliquid airdropped 31% of its supply to users, but other than that, I don’t think there’s been a major product that has airdropped ~1/3rd of its tokens with 100% unlock at genesis.

The Beni x Kalshi saga has been nothing short of dramatic. If you’re intrigued and wanna read about how cockiness and complacency almost always come back to bite you, Emiri has done God’s work by penning this article. Go, give it a read. 

In other news, Trump has renamed Artificial Intelligence to Super Intelligence. According to him, artificial sounds too fake. To be more specific, he said,

“The use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake, it makes it sound fake and it is not fake. It’s actually amazing.”

Feels like it’s going to be one of those things like Twitter’s rebranding to X. It was shoved down our throats, no doubt, but I’m more than sure that everyone still prefers the old name. 

Nevertheless, diplomats have been ordered to use the term SI instead of AI in all comms/docs going forward. 

And the most gut-wrenching news of the week - Hsin-Ju Chuang, a former partner at Hack VC, was pronounced dead on August 24, exactly a day after she made that dark, kinda tragic personal announcement.

The news became public earlier this week when a local media house reported the incident. Her body was found by the California Highway Patrol inside a vehicle in the desert. 

The exact cause of her death remains unknown, but she was going to release evidence that same week (on August 26). Plus, she did mention she was facing continued threats, pressure, and intimidation.  

For now, there are more questions than answers. All we can really say is RIP. 🤍

It definitely was the Bike Tyson meme, wasn’t it? 

The market got too irrational, and something had to reset order. Too bad it had to be the Clarity Act. 

The United States of America’s Senate ultimately couldn’t reach an agreement on crypto’s market-structure bill, sending crypto asset prices tumbling.

And in no time, positions worth $637 million were wiped from the market. On the price front, Bitcoin went below $75k for the first time since August, but quickly recovered.

Is this the beginning of a gradual bloodbath?

Hours later, Kevin Warsh and the Fed raised interest rates by 25 BPS to 3.75-4.00%, giving markets two overlapping negatives to digest within the same 24-hour window.

Things might seem fuzzy in the near-term but when you zoom out, a successful fight against inflation could give the Fed room to cut rates, which would eventually be constructive for risk assets including Bitcoin.

As for the Clarity Act, any hopes of it picking up steam again is heavily dependent on the mid-terms.

Stemming from the alarm sounded by an ex-Anthropic researcher about AI killing us all in the no-distant future, there’s been some interesting developments. 

Trump, in a no-less-than Trump style, weighed in on all of the AI apocalyptic discourse, by disagreeing with calls to pace the frontier, and then, eye-catching-ly calling Anthropic’s CEO, Dario Amodei, a pretending “perfect little angel.”

However, the most interesting chime came from Zuckerberg.

In Zuck’s opinion, there’s enough natural  incentive for labs to pace themselves because “people won’t use misaligned agents.”

Moving on, wipe off your tears bro! The SEC’s found another way to hedge the pain over the Clarity Act stalling. 

The agency has issued an order granting temporary exemption to tokenized securities venues from the definition of exchange. 

If you’re head scratching at what this means, it simply translates to the fact that onchain stocks can now, within a temporary framework, operate in the US, rather than setting up offshore entities.

On the other hand, are we surprised that onchain options are finally getting some love? Naah! 

The market structure seems to have created the double coincidences of wants needed for takeoff. 

We are keeping our eyes on the builders in this category, including LayerV, and other innovative onchain options protocols.

Just as we all started to dream about Lamborghinis and private islands, the market decided to serve us a sweet piece of humble pie. 

Robinhood was on an absolute tear for over a month, and this week we’ve seen violent 70%-90% corrections across the board. To make matters worse, Hunter Biden decided it was his time to dig his toes in the crypto sand. 

He came with a promise of “refunding everyone who lost big on TRUMP coin.” The result? Well, it went pretty much as you would expect. A 99% crash in less than a day, making the poor poorer.

At the risk of making this newsletter even more depressing, there’s been a major issue at Trezor. 

The hardware wallet provider had a third-party email provider that was breached. The result was a bunch of phishing emails going out to Trezor users, which were eerily good. Potentially millions of dollars can be lost here.

In some more bittersweet news, there was a major hack that transpired this week. 

Quick context: The Liquid Network is a popular Bitcoin-based layer 2. 

Hackers found a software bug that they exploited and managed to steal 4,000 BTC, after which they returned around 3,400 BTC, keeping around $47 million+ for themselves, so not really a white hat.

Just so it’s not all doom and gloom, it’s probably worth borrowing some bullishness in times like these. And who better to borrow from than the CEO of Coinbase himself, who has the pulse on all the major developments in this industry.

Activity on the Robinhood Chain is surging, and if you’re wondering why, go make yourself some Irish coffee to get into THE ZONE because there’s a bit to unpack. 

The Robinhood Chain is evidently the new memecoin arena, and traders have figured out a sneaky new game. 

Instead of pairing meme tokens with ETH or stablecoins like usual, they're pairing them with tokenized versions of real stocks, especially small, heavily shorted names. 

To give you a few examples -  “Artificial Inu” is being paired with tokenized stock NVDA,  “Gently Used Tesla” is being paired with TSLA, “Stonks” with SPY, and “BONER” with HIMS. 

So, every time someone buys the meme, they're actually selling the stock token into the pool, which soaks up float and locks it away.

The trick of the trade here is, of course, timing. US markets close, but crypto never does, so weekends and overnight sessions leave the tokenized share supply thin while demand keeps coming. 

That mismatch is what traders are banking on. The whole idea behind this is to somehow send the onchain token price way above the actual stock. 

For a thinly traded, heavily shorted stock, that buying pressure can genuinely move the real market, kind of a synthetic short squeeze built via memecoin trading. 

And believe it or not, it’s happening already!

I could go on talking about shitcoins for hours, but there’s another coin I wanna talk about right now - the new semiquincentennial $1 Trump coin. 

The US Mint has already started sending online shoppers into a virtual waiting room thanks to the "extraordinarily high" demand. 

And these new shiny, golden-colored $1 coins are actually legal tender that’ll eventually enter regular circulation, so you don’t necessarily need to battle the online queue to get your hands on one. 

That brings me to one very important question - who on earth is sitting in that queue, and why this coin of all coins?

Moving on to tokenized stocks, you can now trade GoPro (GPRO) on Solana via Sunrise. 

If you look at the charts, you can see how GoPro’s stock had been absolutely battered, nearly erasing most of its value, but then a YouTuber bought an 8.5% stake, and once that news broke, GoPro entered its redemption arc. Fast forward to now, you can trade it on Solana.

Next, nah, you weren’t the only person who received back-to-back emails from Twitter about password reset requests earlier this week. Seemed sketchy from the get-go, and turns out 5 million addresses were leaked.

Next up, Circle has taken over Chelsea’s jersey, so expect to see “USDC” flashing across it from now on. 

Financial terms haven’t been disclosed by both sides, but reports put the deal anywhere from $68 million a year to $88 million a year. 

After being sponsor-less for three years, Chelsea now has the backing of the company behind the $74 billion market-cap stablecoin. Interesting times.

Despite the market-wide greens, ZEC ripping 50%+ over the last 7 days, and HYPE hitting an all-time high, opinions are still pretty split on where all of this is headed.

The general consensus seems to tilt towards picking the most obvious trades and sitting on them rather than getting blown out by leverage. 

I agree because last week’s $4.6 billion short squeeze made the rally look unstoppable, and then the first real pullback started tagging the newly crowded longs.


A lot of the same accounts that were calling for $100k BTC last Thursday are now gradually reducing size and waiting for the next clean level.

Fear & Greed jumped from extreme fear to 80 in under two weeks, which is usually when the market starts looking for an excuse to shake people out.

It might be a bit more sensible to go with the consensus and stick to the most obvious trades: ETH, HYPE, VVV, ZEC, SOL, and PUMP.

First up, X is getting a little more serious about becoming the everything app.

The platform is reportedly preparing to add buy and sell buttons directly to stock and crypto tickers, meaning you could theoretically see an asset, get irrationally excited about it, and lose money without ever leaving X.

Which, frankly, feels like the logical conclusion of financial Twitter.

Somehow, this feels like a good thing, but it also does resemble a death sentence for trading apps.

Speaking of people who want to control the entire stack…

Sam Altman says OpenAI has made its own chip and, in his words, “it is fast.”

That is pretty much the extent of the technical disclosure so far, but considering how much of the AI industry is currently held hostage by Nvidia’s GPUs, even the suggestion that OpenAI could start building its own chips is a pretty big deal.

The company has been increasingly interested in owning more of the infrastructure underneath its models, and custom chips could eventually mean lower costs, more control, and less dependence on the same handful of companies everyone else is buying from.

And finally, the Americans are coming for the Premier League.

The 2026-27 season is expected to see even more American eyes on English football, with the league’s global commercial machine continuing to expand its reach across the Atlantic.

Americans have already spent the last few weeks to a month of the World Cup discovering that football (not soccer) is actually quite fun.

We’re probably three seasons away from someone explaining xG to a room full of NFL executives and everyone nodding like they understand it.

Really, someone please tell Frank DeGods that he is ruining the trench experience for his copy traders on fomo. 

It’s been a few days since the market erupted and probably left a few people on the sidelines. 

If you’re one of those who have been disturbed by the massive PnLs and size cards on the timeline from either fomo or pump enthusiasts, we’ve got a bit of advice. 

Don’t fomo - good pun? Yes! But we’re serious. You’re better off playing the long game than throwing your chips into an active volcano.

If you must take a dip in the trenches, do that with a tiny, really tiny fragment of your portfolio that won’t hurt if you lose it all.

Just as I was about to go to sleep, the timeline suddenly started firing. I open the charts, and baaaang, BTC and ETH had finally made a move. 

Whether we liked it or not, were feeling a bit left out all this while as every other market continued making all-time highs after all-time highs. After months of nothing but chop and boredom, crypto finally put in a decent move. 

BTC pumped 11.5%, and ETH pumped almost 25%. It’s been a while since we’ve seen moves like that on majors. 

This came after Trump’s speech, giving clarity on a regulatory framework to bring crypto activity to the US.

He also did another thing. 

He mentioned Hyperliquid by name, stating that they are “working to bring Hyperliquid to the US.”

This resulted in a 27% pump for HYPE, and now everyone is believing again. 

Hopefully, this move sustains. Fingers crossed.

Alright, let's take a look at some of the major headlines for the week. 

AI (Robotics, ML, Automation, etc):  

• Anthropic posts its first operating profit, $559 million on $10.9 billion Q2 revenue, arriving roughly two years ahead of the company's own schedule.

• Sebastian Thrun is back and he’s building foundation models for hardware. The Waymo/Google Brain/Udacity co-founder launched stealth robotics startup Dulo, reportedly focused on foundation models for hardware design. 

• Google just made AI agents dramatically cheaper to run. Google launched Gemini 3.7 Flash, targeting coding, autonomous agents, and multi-step business workflows, at an introductory $0.75/million input and $3.75/million output tokens. 

• AI infrastructure demand is getting stupid. CoreWeave now has a $104 billion backlog. Even more interesting, demand for older A100 GPUs remains strong enough that CoreWeave has contracts extending into 2029.

• Tesla's humanoid gets its voice from a rival lab. Optimus V3's ramp at Fremont continues, and its "brain" pairs Tesla's new AI5 chip with xAI's Grok for voice. Here’s the scoop. 

• Chip money is chasing the AI buildout too. Chip startup Etched has surged to a $21 billion valuation as AI increasingly compresses chip design timelines 

• The AI boom is now creating a new software category, AI code insurance. CodeRabbit raised $143 million at a $1.5 billion valuation as companies struggle to review and monitor the enormous quantities of code being produced by autonomous coding systems. 

• Chery's robotics division wants to IPO, after already deploying 3,000+ robots. AiMOGA Robotics has also deployed 110 humanoid police robots in Chinese cities. 

• SoftBank just put $200 million behind autonomous construction equipment. Gravis Robotics is using AI and robotics to automate heavy construction machinery, another sign that physical AI is moving beyond humanoids into economically valuable industrial equipment.

Blockchain & Crypto: 

• BitMart's CEO is getting cornered by his own users. Users and staff are publicly demanding that CEO Sheldon answer by August 19 over alleged withdrawal restrictions, unpaid salaries, and missing funds.  

• SEC proposes a crypto-specific regulatory framework that could exempt certain token issuances from traditional securities rules, including a one-time exemption for up to $5 million and annual offerings up to $75 million. 

• Tether completes its first full independent financial statement audit with KPMG, giving the world's largest stablecoin issuer its first comprehensive external audit. Take that, Tether Truthers. 

• Ansem launches a memecoin index called z500.

• Curve founder says FATF pressure could actually make DeFi more decentralized. Michael Egorov argues that regulatory pressure may push protocols toward stronger security and genuinely decentralized architectures rather than the opposite.  

• Citi to launch Bitcoin custody later this year inside its new Custody+ platform, letting institutions hold BTC alongside traditional assets.

• Compound is betting $52 million on becoming an institutional DeFi protocol. The veteran lending protocol replaced its leadership team and is shifting its strategy toward institutional adoption.  

• Jane Street's crypto book just got a lot more visible. The trading firm disclosed owning over $990 million in Bitcoin ETFs in a new SEC filing.

One of the biggest stories of this week is, of course, the recent pump in majors like BTC and ETH. 

While everyone attributes it to bullish statements from Trump, there’s also the consideration of catching out short sellers in a low-liquidity environment.

In other news, some of the bigger names in the DeFi world have been cooking up a storm.

Second, as most of you may know, Circle is making its very own chain called Arc. Well, Uniswap has now confirmed that they will be working with them and fully deploying the V4 AMM on mainnet.

Then we have what has quite easily been the darling app of the crypto world this year, fomo.

They have been absolutely smashing records and growing at an unprecedented rate. Having crossed the $1 billion volume mark recently, they added almost another $300 million in cumulative volume this week and are very close to smashing through the $1.5 billion threshold. 

Speaking of fomo, the trench world has had an interesting story come out of it.  

As the rotations become more aggressive and the coins lose steam because people are now launching 75,000 coins an hour, CZ seems to be fed up with everything. 

He publicly announced that he will be abandoning his public wallet simply due to the amount of memecoin spam he receives every second. 

Crypto degens forcing a billionaire exchange founder to abandon his wallet is the most crypto thing ever.

Retail is ALL IN on robotics. Don’t take my word for it, just look at what happened with Unitree’s IPO.  

Retail investors placed 9.8 million orders for a stock that sold 40.4 million shares. The offering was oversubscribed 5,526x by them. 

Unitree priced the deal at 150.8 yuan a share (about $22.35), raised 6.1 billion yuan ($904 million), and is heading into its STAR market debut later this month at a 61 billion yuan valuation, roughly $9 billion, making it mainland China's first-ever publicly traded humanoid robot maker.

Let. That. Sink. In. 

All the big bois are in the picture, too. DeepSeek is a strategic investor here, with a 2.31% stake locked up for three years. China Southern Power Grid, China Telecom, and China National Petroleum Corp also have substantial stakes. 

About a fifth of the whole raise went to strategic money before retail even got a look in, YET retail broke the book by thousands of times over.

Good time to trade the perps version, I’d say. (NFA though!)

This IPO has paved the path for a bunch of other Chinese firms like Leju Robotics and Deep Robotics to go public next.

In four out of the first twelve days of this month, RWAs have managed to rake in a higher volume when compared to crypto. From the $7 billion high created on the August 4, the number is currently hovering around $3.5 billion. 

On another note, Pokémon cards have fared better than both the S&P 500 and BTC on the YTD front. Literally everything is outperforming crypto at the moment, smh.  

As far as the bigger picture is concerned, semis and AI hardware, biotech and pharma, energy, and crypto stocks have had a better 24-hour period when compared to other sectors like space and defence, L2s, memecoins, AI, and onchain trading.

Moving on to the next key story - If you remember, New York’s AG had recently asked a court to halt Kalshi’s operations and was seeking at least $36 billion in damages. 

The entire argument was based on how its prediction markets amounted to illegal gambling and put users at a “serious personal and financial risk.” 

Now, the CFTC just stepped in, exercising its ‘emergency authority’ and ordered Kalshi to keep trading under federal rules, with Chair Michael Selig saying, “New York has no business regulating these interstate financial matters.” 

What a time to be alive.

Today, let's get into the staking side of things. If you’re holding the token and wondering how to put it to work, here’s the lowdown. 

• Head to the staking page

• Connect your wallet where you’re holding QUID - you’ve a bunch of options to choose from (Rabby, Phantom, Brave, MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc)

• Specify how many tokens you want to stake and make sure you click on “approve & stake”

• Right after, you’ll have to sign your transaction that’ll eventually move your tokens to the staking contract 

Easy breezy, yeah. 

A couple of things to note: Staking is live on Base. There’s no lockup period per se, so you can unstake and claim your rewards anytime.

Fed’s show coming up at 2 pm ET today, the most divided setup in years, with futures near 31% hike odds while Polymarket prices a 92% hold (it’s actually moving, so watch the updates as we close in), might be a little bit more important than we previously thought, given the next one happens all the way in September.

Right after that, there are mega-volatility-spiking earnings on the tape; find them all here and keep a close watch. As I said, most questions shall be answered soon.

As for Bitcoin, the biggest one is the monthly close: if BTC manages to close above around $64K, the chance of our prayed-for macro bottom increases rapidly. And that’s exactly what I wish to see.

GM gents (and the very rare and, of course, welcomed female readers), it’s Big Week we’ve got ahead, and I feel like the market is derisking into it as we speak. It’s one of those with a capital B, you know the drill.

Let’s keep it super simple, since the start of August might (keyword: might) have a bit of a stressful vibe. It usually passes fast, well, the longest is BTC being a piece a sh for the whole month, but statistically, August is the weakest month of the year. Here’s your proof. 

What’s starting to heat up the situation is the upcoming Wednesday FOMC with hike odds at 36%, so nothing horrible, but we can clearly see signs of markets prepping a little breather here.

Also, regarding the Crypto Clarity Act, it’s basically our last chance to get somewhere this week; negotiations start tomorrow, so let’s see what we get. Will report back. If you want a deep Clarity Act dive, go no further than 563’s article, cooked.

The week will not get any less heated, even post-FOMC: there's the Fed on Wednesday, then Microsoft and Meta earnings on Wednesday as well, PCE on Thursday, and then, I guess, we'll speculate on whether we like August’s outlook at all.

At least the US and Iran halted strikes, sending futures higher and crude down roughly 8%. But these things are anything but predictable. Today, it’s a halt; tomorrow, it’s full-on oblivion.

When it comes to ETH, at least this one finally ended its eight-week outflow streak, with $338 million in inflows in July. Insert the Tom Lee meme going crazy over being down 80% but seeing a 3% green candle.

Speaking of Tom, the guy is simply buying more no matter what: Tom Lee's Bitmine now holds 5.79 million ETH, worth $11.28 billion, after buying more last week.

When it comes to Saylor, crickets. Third straight week. Wonder what the next move is, sell more at the lows?

Going down to the deep channels, what’s great is onchain volume is genuinely back, with centralized-exchange spot down 74% year over year, onchain simply dominates (Hyperliquid).

Let’s see, this week is going to be pretty interesting. Prepare accordingly.

GM, it’s getting a little less cozy as the week comes to an end

Except for the Robinhood Chain mania (memecoin-stock pairs hit $27.4 million in daily volume, with 39,475 wallets trading on fomo), there seems to be a chance Bitcoin wants to take a little breather here.

As I'm typing this one out, BTC broke below $64K, which is a first warning sign of a possible slowdown, and especially a decrease in the odds of hitting $70K too soon. On top of this, we’ve got a potential for a hidden bearish divergence if Bitcoin closes below $65K.

On the TardFi side, cracks are emerging after yesterday’s first-ever negative Google cash flow print, highlighting rising AI expenditures. Here’s a good breakdown on this topic. Also, after the tech stock selling started, SPX is seemingly on its way to its first red July since 2014. One week left.

Speaking of TardFi, we’ve got the next Warsh-led FOMC show coming up next week, July 29th. The odds of rate hikes are ticking up as we speak, in tandem with rising oil prices due to the war tensions.

Even the strongest of all, HYPE, is getting with some FUD lately, especially due to Multicoin, Paradigm, and Selini Capital unstaking around $322 million HYPE tokens. Here’s the summary. Unstake, FUD, buy lower? Perhaps, I personally can’t get too bearish HYPE long term, simply watching the stats at HL.eco.

The Joyful July was nice, now it’s time to prepare for some possible bumps, with optimism still as the priority mindset to use going forward. The downside is limited, the upside is unlimited.

Welcome back, everyone. It’s time to let the speculation rants begin yet again.

Let’s keep it nice and clear today. BTC seems to start to have a little bit of struggle around the $66K mark, and I would personally watch today’s close. If Bitcoin manages to close above, the bounce should continue.

If not, we start being a little cautious. And if $63K breaks down again, that's when the time of the most important question comes: is the macro bottom in?

What’s certainly not helping the current price action is Brent crude back above $98 after Houthis struck two Saudi tankers. War shenanigans continue.

Now, check out this ETH/BTC chart. Is it finally time? Personally, I think it’s a bit too soon to see a full-on ETH run from here, but if this thing really starts reversing, we might see fireworks all across the alt space (or fireworks before an impending doom, you know the drill).

Back to the negatives, Google just posted its first negative cash flow in history. Perhaps the hedge funds selling tech stocks like crazy (mentioned here yesterday) are onto something?

As for macro, the US 30-year yield has held above 5% the longest since 2007; the 10-year nears 4.70%. Let’s see if the market starts caring about this. We ideally want to see this reversed.

Also worth mentioning, the BofA's Bull & Bear indicator hit 9.6 - the most bullish since December 2020. It smells a bit stinky, doesn't it? August comes soon, and I would rather be cautious in the short term, especially after how Joyful July was.

Lastly, the Clarity Act odds sharply reversed to the downside after today’s draft presented gaps in “consumer protection” and multiple things (you can dig in here). Considering the Senate has 15 days to pass the Crypto Clarity Act before leaving for summer recess, I’d bet on the downside, too, to be honest. Monitoring continues.

GIGA: Early point farming on Robinhood Chain

A new DEX just popped up on Robinhood and is already seeing significant volume, driven by the latest memecoin mania on this chain.

First of all, this is super new, so be careful and don’t deploy anything you cannot afford to lose. That said, the pools are as safe as using Uniswap - it’s the tokens you have to do your due diligence around.

Thing is, I managed to reach rank 50 with a mere $200 after LPing for only a few hours.

The degenerate I am, I chose the most aggressively moving pair with the highest volume, PONS/ETH (by the way, PONS seems to be the Pump.fun on Robinhood), and tried my best to stay within a tight range, which earned 7,000% APR. Of course, this requires active management, but given the already solid liquidity present here, you can swap back and forth with just a little slippage. Well, as long as you don’t go crazy deploying six figs, which I would consider an absolutely deranged idea. But I also wouldn’t be surprised by it, to be frank.

Considering how successful Robinhood Chain is so far, I think playing around and earning GIGA super early is a nice play. I'm having fun on there.

GM, good ladies and sers, it’s about that time again. Yes, speculating on whether or not our imaginary coins go up or down, of course.

First of all, on the topic of the Clarity Act, which currently stands at 53% (up 22% just today as Trump agrees on the bill’s terms, which ban politicians from launching shitcoins), definitely give a read to our article in today’s ICYMI section. 563 cooked on that one and deserves feedback.

BTC is still looking pretty comfy above $65K here, so our bounce hopes continue for now. Let’s get that $70K, shall we? Mind you, that’s where I’d start to consider at least a few weeks of BTC and altcoins taking a breather.

Now we’re getting into the juiciest zone of all - if BTC manages to stay above $60K or so through the summer without any significant closes below on longer timeframes, we might just have the confirmation of a bear market bottom. Exciting (and critical) times.

The one altcoin worth mentioning today (besides Derive, which we cover in our On Our Radar section below) is Aave. Aave V4's momentum is hitting back-to-back all-time highs - the protocol now holds $10.6 billion in active loans, more than every other EVM lending protocol combined. Plus, there’s an iOS launch coming very soon, which will likely further expand its overall usage. At almost -70% on the year, I consider this something to watch, at the very least.

On the other hand, we've got HYPE, the bear market darling, finally showing some signs of distribution. Is it possible we get to snatch some precious HYPE lower? Perhaps. Nevertheless, if this DEX continues to capture an increasing share of CEXs' (you can track all of this here) trading volume while printing around $1.5 million in fees daily, I’m personally considering lower prices an opportunity.

Anyways, oil surged above $85 a barrel as the Iran War escalates (Iran struck Bahrain’s datacenters), but does the market care anymore? It seems so repetitive by now, and as we know, markets tend to get bored with repetitive news. Mind you, Dow Jones pumped today literally after Trump threatened to bomb Iran again. Lesson there.

As for the macro sitch, it might get a bit bumpy, as the Fed rate-hike odds for this year have surged to 62% and 71% by September. Priced in? Hopefully, but some August blood after a Joyful July wouldn't be something that surprising now, would it…

Oh, plus the 10-year yield is back to 4.63%, its highest since January 2025. Not ideal, but we’ve seen worse.

All in all, I think there are still some bumps ahead, but overall, I dare to say we’ve seen the worst of it. At least almost. Here’s to hoping and many pumps ahead.

Is Derive finally the options platform that will hit mass adoption?

Finally, there actually is a large onchain options exchange that’s being used (and it’s running on Hyperliquid). Might be just because it’s the most liquid option for HYPE, but it’s genuinely gaining traction.

Let’s quickly chop over the numbas: $30 billion in lifetime volume, $1.5 billion in open interest, and roughly $2 billion in options volume every month. Just this week, two ETH call spreads worth around $27.4 million in notional printed on the tape, and Derive still holds the record for the largest onchain options trade ever at over $210 million. Not too shabby.

Here's the part I like. Every week, 35% of protocol fees go straight into DRV buybacks. Buyback number 76 just cleared, bringing the total past 26.4 million DRV repurchased. More revenue in, less supply out, and V3 (portfolio margin, cross-asset collateral, options plus perps plus spot in one account) is right around the corner.

The token has cooled off, down roughly 4% on the day and 20% on the week, sitting near $0.12, but still in a clear uptrend. I do think that today, with a chart like this, is a good day to point this one out (keyword: think). Not financial advice, but I do think we have a contender for the Options War winner here.

GM, there, dear grypto market participants. There's now a 56% chance Bitcoin will pump to $67,500 this month, according to Polymarket, but I dare to say it’s much higher,

First of all, the Strategy FUD seems like a distant memory by now, with Saylor having 31 years of dividend coverage secured, so I guess we can all forget about this for the next, well, 30 or so years. Full stats on their situation are available here.

The meme elements of the crypto market are strong, very strong, hence why I think when Cramer says “the markets look horrible”, we might just have a better chance for a Joyful July continuation.

On top of that, there’s Jamie Diamon saying, “Do not buy stocks right now”. Well, actually, he might be onto something, especially when it comes to tech stocks. Smart money is heavily shorting NVIDIA right now (as evidenced here), and hedge funds are dumping US tech stocks at a record pace, as seen in this chart.

When it comes to crypto, everything looks pretty great so far. BTC is continuing to bounce per our plan, having confidently flipped $63K and is likely on the path to $70K. Nevertheless, that’s where I’d start to be wary. Joyful July is over soon after all, and August was nasty towards crypto prices a few times already (especially if you remember the 2025 panic).

Clarity Act seems to be on a good way also, give this video a watch for all the details you need.

We’ve also seen a fair share of goodbyes from the biggest stage of football by legends such as Messi, Modric, Neymar, and maybe even the formidable Cristiano Ronaldo.

South Korea is in big trouble, I mean, look at this. No bueno. No worries, though, because on our side, things are starting to look quite promising. I might even have to drop my summer slumber thesis at this point; we shall see.

Let’s start with BTC: we are standing pretty damn pretty as of this moment. Comfortably above $63K, the level we kept on marking as the key point of “bounce or no bounce”. So yeah, as long as that holds, bounce we go.

Moreover, I recommend going over this section in the breakdown video by Krown and his podcast colleague: the monthly MACD is clearly pointing towards us being at the very tail end of the bear market - exactly as we speculated for months now. Mind you, this is still not confirmed, but it’s hard to ignore all these signs at this point.

If you enjoy these long-term frame comparisons, check out this one too, although I would give way more credibility to Krown’s analysis (nothing against Poseidon, it’s just the complexity of the TA).

And onto another nice dose of Hopium - the OTHERS chart. Yes, the shitcoin one we all love so much. As the World Cup ends, it’s possible we see the gambling attention turn elsewhere, and in this case (hopefully) towards alts.

And finally, what helps with all this Hopium is that ETH remains strong and is, in fact, getting stronger by the day.

Perhaps the market is realizing that Tom Lee, even though being in massive loss so far, is making multiple million dollars per year just from staking? Something BTC simply can't provide, as the good old King Memecoin of 21 million pieces valued at $64K each,

Things are simply looking promising, and I hope it stays that way, but as you know, the tables can turn quickly (especially when ETH looks strong, ehm ehm).
