So, Lazarus was sick, and word was sent to Jesus that His friend was ill. Jesus stayed back two more days, and Lazarus was dead before He could get to Bethany. When Jesus arrived, one of Lazarus' sisters told Jesus that if He had been there earlier, Lazarus would not have died. BUT EVEN NOW, whatever you ask of God, God will give it to you. John 11:14-27

This is for someone who is weary. Even when you hear the word of God, something in you has died. Hope has been so deferred that it’s as if you can’t see God’s faithfulness anymore. BUT EVEN NOW. You've been disappointed repeatedly. BUT EVEN NOW, God is still faithful.

Even if you are not sick physically but your spirit is broken, my prayer for you today is that you be healed of all brokenness.

Olivia fervently prayed for a thriving career, aiming for a high-profile job with societal recognition. However, she faced repeated rejections and setbacks. Unknown to her, God orchestrated a different path, leading her to a job that aligned with her passion for helping others. The seemingly unsuccessful pursuits were, in fact, a divine intervention redirecting her towards a purpose-driven career filled with joy and fulfillment.

In moments when it seems like things didn't work out, it might be because God remembered your prayer for happiness and joy. He, in His wisdom, chose to answer your deeper plea for joy. Appreciate Him in those times, knowing that His answers are always for your ultimate good.

I thought about a recent conversation I had with my daughter. I was out when she called and asked me to get her favorite food item. I did. When she sat down to eat, I asked if she could share that same meal with me.
Deep down, I already knew what her answer would be and I was right. If it had been another type of food, maybe she would have shared. But this particular one? I knew she wouldn’t.

As I reflected on that moment, I realized that’s exactly how we often are with God. We cling to the very blessings He’s placed in our hands, acting as if they were ours by right, forgetting they were given in the first place. Scripture reminds us, “Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand” (1 Chronicles 29:14).

When we struggle to release something to God whether it’s our plans, possessions, or people, it’s often because we’ve confused ownership with stewardship. But the truth is, nothing we have truly belongs to us. Abraham understood this when he was willing to lay Isaac on the altar. And in the same way, God calls us to trust Him fully, believing that what we return to Him will always be in safer hands than our own.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for every blessing You’ve placed in my life. Help me to remember that nothing I have is truly mine, it’s all Yours. Teach me to trust You completely with everything You’ve entrusted to me. Give me the courage to surrender, knowing You will never take without giving what is good. .

I saw a story about a metorologist who went viral for uttering six simple yet profound words during his weather forecast. He was tracking a severe storm when he realized a tornado was about to bear down on a town. The man paused on live TV to say this prayer heard worldwide.
“Dear Jesus, please help them. Amen.’

Some viewers later saud that prayer prompted them to take cover. His spontaneous and heartfelt prayer may have helped save countless lives.

Our prayers can make a difference too. They don’t have to be long. They can be short, meaningul and cab be said at any time of the day. God hears the simplest cries of the heart. A three-word prayer can move heaven just as much as a carefully crafted one. The meteorologist didn’t wait for a quiet moment, the perfect words, or the right setting, he prayed right in the middle of the storm. We can do the same. God is not measuring the length of our prayers, but the sincerity behind them.

Today, whether you are enjoying a sunny day or being hit by the literal or figurative storms of life, let’s remember to pasue and pray throughout the day,

One of the remarkable stories in the Bible is that of Sarah.

There was a time Sarah thought it was all over. She had grown old. Years had passed and the promise of a child had long faded into the shadows of impossibility. She even laughed, not from joy, but from disbelief when she heard the promise again.

“Then Sarah laughed to herself and said, ‘After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?’” Genesis 18:12
Her laughter of doubt was turned into laughter of joy. God did what only He could do. He restored her hope, and gave her a son, Isaac whose very name means ‘Laughter’

When you see what God does, you’re going to be amazed at how He restores you, reenergizes you, and takes you where you never thought possible. You’re going to laugh again. You’re going to be happier than you’ve ever been.

Just like Sarah, your story isn’t over. The delay isn’t denial. The season of waiting isn’t the end — it’s a setup for joy you never imagined. What once made you sigh will soon make you sing. What once made you cry will now make you laugh.

God’s timing may stretch you, but it will not fail you.

The other day, I saw a post about a mom trying to teach her toddler French.
At home, no matter how hard she tried, the child wouldn’t respond. She thought he wasn’t learning anything.
But then she found out something surprising: at daycare, that same child was speaking French fluently with the teacher.
What looked like refusal at home was actually quiet learning that showed up in the right setting.

As I thought about it, I realized how often God is working in us in ways that don’t show right away. Sometimes we feel like we’re not growing. Like we’re not getting anywhere. Like all the prayers, Bible reading, and lessons aren’t making any difference.
But then something happens, it could be a challenge, an opportunity, a test, and what God has been building inside you comes out naturally.

That reminds me of Joseph.

When Joseph was sold into slavery and later thrown into prison, it probably felt like nothing good was happening. But through those hidden years, God was teaching him how to lead, how to manage people, and how to trust Him fully. And when the moment came to interpret Pharaoh’s dream, everything Joseph had learned behind the scenes came together and he was ready.

Genesis 41:14 says:
“So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.”

What looked like wasted time was actually preparation. And when the door opened, Joseph stepped through it fully equipped. So don’t be discouraged if you can’t see your growth right now. God is still building something in you, and when the time is right, it’ll show.

A couple went to a beautiful resort where the services were phenomenal. One of the standout aspects was the entertainment, with a hardworking team, including a man nicknamed "Aquaman." He introduced himself with a few swimming strokes to confirm his nickname. On their last night, Aquaman asked them for a 5-star review, explaining that anything less than 5 stars actually hurt his record, despite people thinking they were doing him a favor with a 4. but it would have actually been a disservice. His request provided the clarity they needed to make the right decision.

As I thought about that, I remembered the scripture that says:

Ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7
When we ask specifically, we receive. Do not be vague in your asking. I remember the blind man Jesus saw who cried to Jesus. Jesus said, what do you want me to do for you? Even though the man was obviously blind. The man then replied Jesus by being specific.
He said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus gave him his sight immediately. Luke 18:39-42

If a human being can be specific about his request, Let us therefore boldly ask the Lord for our request specifically, trusting Him to answer us as we ask Him.

In a world that constantly shifts, where promises are broken and trust is hard to find, remember this: God is unchanging. He is faithful to His word, and He won’t fail you.

The Bible tells us, "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. (Numbers 23:19).

When everything around you feels uncertain, know that you can lean on God. He’s steady, strong, and always in your corner. No matter the storm, He’s got you.

Reflection: Think of God’s promises as written for you personally. You’re not just “someone” to Him—you’re His child.

Call to Action: Take a moment today to reflect on one area of your life where you need to trust God more. Surrender it to Him in prayer and remind yourself, “God can be trusted.

Now David had been told, ‘Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.’ So David prayed, ‘Lord, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.’”
2 Samuel 15:31, NIV

One of the lesser known stories in the Bible is that of David and Absalom his son. Remember when Absalom, David's son was trying to take the kingdom? And plotted against his father and chased him out ? Someone came and told David that Ahithophel was with Absalom.

Well, Ahithophel was David's chief counselor It was said that if Ahithophel counsels you It was like God Himself spoke As David was running away completely broken by the fact that his own blood was betraying Him David looked up to heaven And said "Lord, please Mercy, turn the counsel of Ahithophel to foolishness."

David was broken, hurt was running for life. David just had the throne God gave him taken away. David was stabbed in the back by a son he loved so much, but David was still able to send a prayer up.

In the most Divine way possible, for the first time the counsel of Ahithophel was thrown away. The man even hung himself because he could not bear the fact that his superior advice was discarded.

Never forget to send a prayer up In your weakest moment. Even as you cry, even as your broken, even as you're hurt, even when the pain is deep. Never forget to send prayers up It would amaze you how God can turn things around Always send a prayer up.

Your weakness might be your greatest gift.

One of the stories that has always touched me in Scripture is the story of Gideon in Judges 6.

Gideon wasn’t a strong leader, a trained warrior, or someone with public confidence. In fact, when the angel of the Lord appeared to him and called him a "mighty man of valor," Gideon responded with insecurity and doubt:
Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family. (Judges 6:15)
He was hiding in fear when God found him. He was full of questions, full of hesitation.

But it was in that exact space of weakness that God decided to reveal His power. God didn’t rebuke Gideon’s honesty; instead, He affirmed His presence: “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”
(Judges 6:16)

One of the clearest truths in the Bible is that God’s strength shows up best in our weakness.

Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.
We often feel like we need to have it all together before coming to God. But the Bible shows the opposite. Gideon was afraid. Yet all he was used by God, not because he wasperfect, but because they were honest about their weaknesses.
So don’t hide from God. Don’t wait until you feel worthy. You are the perfect candidate for grace. Bring your weakness to Him. That’s where His power works best.

Reflection: What weakness are you trying to hide from God or others?
Take a moment to admit it honestly to God in prayer. That’s the first step to letting His power work in you.

When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. Exodus 17:11

PRAYER is our winning strategy. As long as we’re fervent in prayer, we’ll win. But if we faint, they enemy will win.

When Ruth returned with her mother-in-law to Bethlehem, it was at the beginning of the barley harvest. Ruth had been widowed and had left her own country to Bethlehem. It was a strange place and she was not sure of what to expect.
Ruth was devastated and broken. However, she chose to join the barley harvest when she arrived Bathlehem. She was not forced, she simply decided to get up and be productive, and Naomi her mother-in-law gave her permission to do so. At the end of that harvest season, she got a miracle. She go settled in marriage to a man of mean, obtaining a home and security for herself and her mother-in-law.

One of the ways to get a full face-lift in our life is to join the harvest and win souls for the kingdom. This is a tried and true approach to breakthroughs.

Matthew 9:37: The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
All the work you put into harvest for the kindgom will be reward. John 4:36: Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

I read a story about a young man who felt he was treated unfairly in a certain matter. He believed he was set up and not given a chance to defend himself when he was judged for something he didn’t do. As he explored his options for appealing the decision, he prayed for guidance and felt God told him to be still and let Him fight the battle. At some point, the young man asked, "Lord, are you really fighting for me?

I guess He is not alone in his response to challenging times. In the book of Judges, Gideon asked a similar question when the angel of the Lord visited him, reminding him of God's promise to deliver Israel. God's words in Judges 6:16 were clear: “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites

He is still in the business of fighting for His own and irrespective of how worried you are about your tough situation; He will come through for you at the appropriate time. My beloved brother shared with me a few days ago that he’d been cleared of any wrongdoing and truly God won his battle for him.

Yes, God is still for you, and He is still fighting for His people.

When the Israelites left Egypt abd were on their wat to the promised land, at some point there was no water for them. They complained against Moses and berated him for bringing them out of Egypt. When Moses and Aaron seek the face of God, God instructed Moses to take his rod, and in the presence of the whole congretation speak to the rock, and it will produce water.

Moses did not follow the instruction, instead he used the rod to strike the rod twice. it produced water abundantly no doubt, but God became angry with Moses because instead of speaking to the rock like he was instructed to do, he struck the rock.

Moses met the need of the people, but displeased God. Numbers 20:1-13

How many problems in homes escalate because someone choses to strike instead of speaking to the hear of the issue?
How many lives and communities all across the world would still be intact if nations ahad chosen to speak rather strike? The Bible says in Proverbs 15:1 “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”.

Verse of the Day: James 1:19. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Some of us assume that the Parable of the Talents only applies to pastors and their calling. But the truth is, God has given everyone an assignment, along with the grace, resources, and talents to fulfill it.

In the parable, each servant received talents according to their ability. The one who received five talents traded with them and produced five more—a 100% return. The one with two did the same. But the servant who received one talent did nothing with it and returned exactly what he was given—a 0% return.

It does not matter what talents or goods the Lord has given you, or how small or large you think your current territory is, what the Lord is interested in is your rate of return. Use your abilities, potential, and talents to do something productive. use them to advance the kingdom of God. Don’t end up with what you started with, that is a 0% rate of return, rather produce a positive rate of return.

Reflection / Prayer: Lord, help me to be faithful with what You’ve placed in my hands. May I never bury what You’ve entrusted to me. Teach me to multiply it for Your glory.

Jesus said if a person put his hands on the plough and looks back, they are not fir for the kingdom of God.
Jesus was so direct, and left no room for ambiguity. This helps us understand straightaway what He was trying to communicate.

When God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the depravity of the people of those cities, God sent an angel to get Lot and his family out in order to save them. The angel specifically said they should not look back. Nevertheless, Lot’s wife looked back as they were leaving and was turned into a pillar of salt.

Do not begin something, then hesitate and look back because hesitation cab be crippling. Do not also make up your mind to walk with God and look back, rather consuider the gain Revelations 2:17 says: He who overcomes. I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

When David wanted to build a temple for God, God said he should not. Rather, his son Solomon should build the temple because David was a man of war, and had she blood. David took it in stride, and make provisions for all that required to build the temple. Here is what David said to Solomon in
1 Chronicles 28 Verse 20:
“And David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and do it, do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD”.

Solomon had big shoes to fill so it is understandable that his father David had to give him words of encouragement. God could bring you into somethng so big, well organized and structured that you feel someone better and more experienced than you should or could have done it. God will make all resources available and will equip you with grace when you go into His presence to ask.
However big the project or assignment, if God has brought you into it, embrace it and obtain grace to carry it out successfully.

Prayer: Thank you Lord for every stage and opportunity you will give me. Lord, please grant me the grace to do the things you have asigned to me. Help me to completely avoid distractions.

Memory Verse: Hebrews 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need

There are instances in the Bible where miracles happened without the recipient of such miracles playing a part in their miracle. However, there are many instances where people played their part.
Before Jesus turned the water into wine, someone had to do the ordinary task of filling the water pots. Before the miracle of increased oil, Elisha asked the Shunamite woman to borrow some more vessels.

Reflection: What's my part? Where do I need to step out in faith for Him to intervene? We want new wine to just appear, but Jesus calls us to fill up the jars first. We want an increase in the anointing, but there's no room for increase in our lives; we're full of self. In short, there's always an ordinary role left for man to play before God's intervention. We must participate in our own transformation. Do the ordinary, and God will do the extraordinary.

Today: STEP OUT IN FAITH. Make a move, and God will back you up. Take a moment today to identify an area in your life where you need to step out in faith. Trust that God will meet you there and perform the extraordinary when you act on the ordinary.
