Actually, you need money to run a life - and if you are more advanced in life (i.e have a family) you generally <b>need more money.</b></p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/35972670-f758-44f3-86d6-51752361700b/image.png?t=1718897756"/></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But at whatever point you are - you are constantly reminded that you need money. <b>This is no more true than in business -</b> when you are constantly pitched, asked to pay people, or invest in yourself.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">In someone who has always had stable employment and <b>conditioning</b> of a job - these pressures lead to a chain of negative events and cognitions.</p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/0b733d7c-a559-4f95-bc56-a39fdcbc4d2a/image.png?t=1718897928"/></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">and the net effect of these interactions between your mind and your environment - often SLOWLY eat away at your commitment, your visions - and those “dreams” you had a few months ago when you started.<br><br>Those “optimistic” and encouraging sales calls, with peers about your vision - are replaced by the grim reality -and you announce your return to the corporate world.<br><br>Your peers cheer you on, your family is happy for you, everyone can relax and you feel good like you made the SMART decision. You can pursue your business later on, the timing wasn’t right.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But make no mistake - your dream is dead.</p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/bdddd937-9d4e-48c1-9c9d-5f47de5b32c6/image.png?t=1718898046"/><div class="image__source"><span class="image__source_text"><p>You on your deathbed wondering what could have been</p></span></div></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">AND MAYBE that’s okay for you - and you don’t really want it. But if you do- you need to set yourself up for success and to AVOID this highly likely outcome. </p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="peer-pressure-101">Peer Pressure 101 </h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">There is a reason y-combinator makes you move to another location, and be around people 24/7 who are business-focused.<br><br>You need to spend <b>as much time as possible </b>with people who are as equally committed to their vision (or your vision - your team) as you are. <br><br>When we hide, with our hobbies/personal life - it is super easy, to forget about the initial dream or spark.<br><br>The more time you spent in a “work-positive environment” the safer you are - ideally this is a community like the <a class="link" href="https://www.theonenetwork.app/?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=how-to-not-give-up-in-the-online-business-game" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">One Network</a> that has constant (7 day a week) interaction, and an in-person component. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But if we are being real - this is only one part of it - because you can easily not engage/play along as a yes man.<br></p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="surround-yourself-with-the-right-pe">Surround Yourself with The <i>Right </i>People</h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The people you surround yourself with, need an incentive to keep you accountable and on your vision, and not allow you to get up. In <a class="link" href="https://gamma.app/docs/The-Home-For-Entrepreneurs-z4qvp03o8e90tyk?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=how-to-not-give-up-in-the-online-business-game" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">our network</a> - its a crowd accelerator.<br><br>Everyone pools connections and helps each other. But each followup, increases the probability - that you hit them at the right time.</p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="sales-timing">Sales Timing</h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">To taking us back to<a class="link" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/lantiporda/?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=can-you-really-sell-to-anyone" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Larry’s point</a> on the “two call close”- why is it that no matter the strength of offer or rapport, a two call system works best?</p><div class="embed"><a class="embed__url" href="https://www.skool.com/thesalesdojo/about?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=can-you-really-sell-to-anyone" target="_blank"><div class="embed__content"><p class="embed__title"> The Sales Dojo </p><p class="embed__description"> Learn how to double your closing rate and make $10K+ months in remote sales 💰 </p><p class="embed__link"> www.skool.com/thesalesdojo/about </p></div><img class="embed__image embed__image--right" src="https://assets.skool.com/f/76cfad882e6d46f5b30d75377b24b8c0/5a1477d1732e479ab3efb426301b0359f18359fcc8224a6d9c978b8cd771a541"/></a></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I thought about this a lot - because there are many times when I had a one-call close. <br><br>Did I do something different, or was it just divine timing? </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Then it hit me.</p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="enter-the-window-of-opportunity">Enter The Window of Opportunity </h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">When you get somebody on the phone - whether it’s a cold call, or a zoom, you have a finite amount of time to make an impression and shoot your shot.<br><br>When you first meet someone, or first approach someone for a call - they generally will give you the first call, with no strings attached.<br><br>If you are professional and friendly enough, and not pushy, most will give you a second call too. <br><br>Most buyers - of anything - have certain timing, where they become ready to buy. <br><br>This is the <b>window of opportunity. </b><br><br><b>Even if your prospect is perfect for the offer, </b>if they leave the window of opportunity - you have very little chance of closing them, or even getting them back on a call. <b>The window has passed. </b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What the first call allows you to do - is QUALIFY - not just the prospect finite qualities, but if they are in that window of opportunity. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The reason why it takes two calls - is because you simply do not know, till the end of the first call, if they are in that window of opportunity. <br><br>You see - before the call - its casual - on both ends.<br><br>You do something, that is potentially helpful to them - and you seem interesting. <br><br>They took the call - so they have some level of “openness” to being sold - even if you were coy about the call purpose, in your outbound.<br><br>Let’s say you present your pitch on the call - they ask you some followup questions, all seems fun and well and moving in a promising direction.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Then 30 minutes in - you usually get the question:</p><div class="blockquote"><blockquote class="blockquote__quote"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">sounds great? what are next steps? what is the cost?</p><figcaption class="blockquote__byline"></figcaption></blockquote></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I used to go back and forth, over how my account executives should address this question. <br><br>Quote them on the spot? Give a range of pricing? <b>Maybe first try to test their budget?</b><br><br>But then I released - this question is NOT an opportunity for you to pitch.<br><br>It’s the end of the window of opportunity - it’s the indicator, that the gap has closed, and you’ve lost them -you’ve lost your opportunity to sell.</p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="what-the-window-looks-like">What The Window Looks Like</h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><b>For those people who do take the meeting - how do we know they are in “the window of buying” from the call?</b></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Consider this - someone has a problem. They know they need to do something about it. They have already sold themselves on this fact - having either discussed it, or read articles online. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Assuming the rapport is there with you - implicitly - they should be buyers. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But how do we know the problem or opportunity is serious enough to cause them to take action? This is something we didn’t know - from prospecting them. </p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="the-second-call-is-the-indicator"><b>The Second Call IS The Indicator </b></h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">We established - that most people will take that first call to learn - it’s “a given” - a freebie. They might be intrigued or resonate with the problem statement- but taking one call isn’t a physical representation of the window. </p><div class="blockquote"><blockquote class="blockquote__quote"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">if you book a second call - you have a potential buyer. And a pitch opportunity.</p><figcaption class="blockquote__byline"></figcaption></blockquote></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So - you can explain your product and even explain the price. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But make sure you suggest a second call. Most prospects who could be buyers - even if they bring up a budget objection - will join and suggest the second call, even if the price doesn’t align - if you have high rapport, and they are in the buying mood. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If they miss the second call or put it off - move the prospect to later because they are NOT a buyer in the window of opportunity OR the rapport is not as good as you thought it was. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Not good enough for them to show you the window. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So back to your initial question….</p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;">Can you sell to anyone?</h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If I just entered a big deal contract with someone , chances are no matter your rapport with me or how relevant and valuable your pitch is - I won’t be receptive. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i>I’m out of my buying window. </i></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What, do you say then, of the FOMO effect? </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"></p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Could you exert pressure to bring someone into the buying window - who is otherwise out of it - by showing them what you are selling is scarce or may even not exist after some time passes?</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The answer - is yes. For most entrepreneurs I talked to, it’s something that is the first and last thought, every day- and the lingering questions, after every positive or negative development that happens within your business.</p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="detach-from-the-outcome">Detach from the Outcome</h2><table width="100%" class="bh__column_wrapper"><tr><td width="50%" class="bh__column"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Like most seasoned entrepreneurs, I often look back on the early days of my business quite fondly. But that naivety, to a certain extent - enabled my success in a way a later-stage “adult” may need to evaluate and emulate <b>by design</b>. </p></td></tr></table><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I wasn’t necessarily overly optimistic - but in those first few months of being an entrepreneur, I was 100% committed to it.<br><br> Most of my peers were interviewing for jobs - this never even crossed my mind. I was willing to literally, sleep on a couch if my dreams were delayed.<br><br>But if I’m being honest with you - I never even really had that anxiety. <b>Because I was seriously convinced, that my ideas, commitment, and focus were special. </b>When I walked home at 3 am in the morning after sitting on the computer for 12 hours in our shared office, I “glimmered” with the knowledge that I was doing something, that most other people - weren’t. <br><br>An intelligent observant <b>at the time</b> might look at this and wonder </p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">how crazy is this person? </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Is this person obsessed?</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">What mental issue are they struggling with? clearly, this is <i><b>delusional</b></i>.</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">But now looking back on it, and comparing my 10-year trajectory vs other people who were involved in my first company <b>but quit - </b>I can see it clearly. <br></p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="entrepreneurial-delusion-a-prerequi">Entrepreneurial DELUSION - A Prerequisite for Success</h1><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I interviewed a few weeks ago, a guy of similar age to me - who got started later, and had a must faster and momentous come up (6 months to $100k MRR) than I did.</p><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="true" class="youtube_embed" frameborder="0" height="100%" src="https://youtube.com/embed/WcChU2WekU8" width="100%"></iframe><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Having observed this company’s rise on social media from the outside, I was curious to find out what was different in his story - than mine, where he could compress a “glow up” that took me several years, into such a short period of time. </p><table width="100%" class="bh__column_wrapper"><tr><td width="50%" class="bh__column"><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/837a8533-1bce-4572-be15-b61dd629178a/image.png?t=1717017660"/></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><br>Historically - I actually have a message from them, years before they blew up and dominated Twitter with their company. </p></td><td width="50%" class="bh__column"><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"></p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/6971e57b-008b-4f39-88df-f0f4e4f5da96/image.png?t=1717017642"/></div></td></tr></table><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So - I was able to piece together, a little of that psychology - prior to running the interview with the two cofounders (Christian and Andre)<br><br>My podcast with Andre led me to uncover <b>three </b>interesting factors</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">His parents were successful entrepreneurs.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">His cofounders were also entrepreneurially driven in the “delusion”.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">He had a strong basis in faith.</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I look back on my business psychology - and I remember:</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">My parents were NOT entrepreneurs, and no one in my family believed it possible.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">My cofounders were NOT all in entrepreneurs, or believers.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Faith was not a core part of my (initial) journey</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">And I realized - that although I had a persistent, self-belief in my own abilities - <b>my entrepreneurial “delusion” </b>was more costly to maintain - than some other people. (Google Sheets) - it’s something I already know, can edit with macros, and tabulate quickly.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">No extensive research process is necessary. </p><h1 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="the-takeaway">The Takeaway </h1><h3 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="its-cool-to-see-founder-stacks-im-c">It’s cool to see founder stacks. I don’t have a network of business owners and entrepreneurs. I’m not from a great background - I don’t know the people I need to know…<br><br><b>STOP.</b><br><br>You aren’t looking closely enough. It works for 17 year old kids, and it also works for a guy like me whose last business <a class="link" href="https://theonenetwork.beehiiv.com/p/want-start-business-dont-know-type-start?_gl=1*75f9u*_ga*MTQ2MTA2Mzk3Ny4xNzA0NjcwMDE2*_ga_E6Y4WLQ2EC*MTcxNTYzNDg3NC4xMy4xLjE3MTU2MzQ4NzUuNTkuMS43NTM5ODE3Nw..*_gcl_au*MTgwOTYwODM5My4xNzE0NTg5NjE&utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">“blew up” </a>and has to pick up the pieces from ZERO. </p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/be969f2a-01cf-4bed-b745-18de05bf8412/Screenshot_2024-05-14_at_12.45.12_PM.png?t=1715705158"/></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">It goes a little bit like this </p><ol start="1"><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Identify your family, friends (people whom you talk to once a week - I’m not talking about your ex-girlfriend from high school!)</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Identify the places you exist. These can be online spaces like subreddits, or physical spaces like the gym.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Draw <a class="link" href="https://miro.com/?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">lines outward from these bubbles</a> and lay out at least 30-50 people whom you know and interact with. Interaction is as simple as hello/goodbye, you do not even necessarily need to know their name.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">For practice purposes, also add who THEY MIGHT KNOW - you can use <b>the same formula, </b>writing out who this person’s friends might be, where they make out. <b>For example - your parents and brother may work for a company, and interact with people in an office who have a business. </b>Your gym partner - may work for a supplement company.</p></li></ol><h3 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="why-your-first-client-must-be">Why Your <a class="link" href="https://www.youtube.com/@OneChrisHanson/videos?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">FIRST CLIENT</a> Must Be Connected To You In Some Way</h3><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Of course, if you are a cold email phenom or cold approach phenom like me - you don’t need a network. You can just go out on the street and walk up to any person.<br><br>But I’m going to assume most of you aren’t crazy enough, don’t have the patience, or don’t have the good looks to get it done. </p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/4cbe8de5-91ab-4340-86bb-c0207def61ce/image.png?t=1715705218"/><div class="image__source"><span class="image__source_text"><p>Me Circa 2008</p></span></div></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Ideally, the person who is your first client should be AS CLOSE to your “inner circle” as possible, without being a random brokie. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">The reality is - you are probably going to F this one up - and you are going to need someone you SEE or talk to already regularly, because</p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">a. you already have rapport with them (easier to sell)</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">b. they will continue to see you/talk to you, and give you opportunities to improve on your milk-toast crappy product</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;"><i><b>BUT - this person must be BETTER than you in some meaningful way. They have a business, they are farther along in content, more money saved - you need to identify people from whom you can help - and you can learn. </b></i></p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/9195f85b-72ba-4de4-990a-67ac73e83bad/image.png?t=1715705292"/></div><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="ranked-choice">Ranked Choice</h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Once you have 50-100 names/icons, you should write them on a single piece of paper. <br><br>Next to their name - you are going to write TWO numbers, out of 10 each. <a class="link" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoXTST4j7D8&ab_channel=ChrisHanson&utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">I like 10s. </a> The first 10, is how much they like you. and the second 10 is well..simply put, how much money/resources they have access to. </p><div class="image"><img alt="" class="image__image" style="" src="https://media.beehiiv.com/cdn-cgi/image/fit=scale-down,format=auto,onerror=redirect,quality=80/uploads/asset/file/9561035a-801e-4277-be9b-f65ca8f1fafb/image.png?t=1715705651"/></div><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Then you are going to CROSS OUT anyone who is OVER 15 (too valuable to waste on your first client) and anyone who is <b>under 10 </b>(not valuable enough) - again, these numbers are relative. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">So- people may not like you as much as <a class="link" href="https://twitter.com/@onechrishanson?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">they like me</a> - they aren’t in love. But the person who likes you the most out of the people you know - is a 10. The person the “most well off” out of the people you know is a 10. and so on and so forth. </p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="pitching">Pitching</h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I’m not <a class="link" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v171sWqAIX8&utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">PBD.</a> I’m not suggesting you go and sell life insurance to your grandma or <a class="link" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AzBKY9TFvA&utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=mining-your-personal-network" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">your wife’s family</a>.<br><br>What I am saying is for the people that “made the cut” from the previous step. Each generation has its own “guru” - as a 29-year-old, I’ve seen many different “entrepreneur” influencers, come up - rise and fall - in the internet age. Some, too infamous or non-noble to mention here. <br>Like many of my fellow entrepreneurs, I’m a dreamer. And when I see something I want to do - I believe I can do that. You see these young guys hustling - on the jet, the boat, the bottles - and you believe, on some level - it is possible for you too. <b>In your head, you are willing to do whatever it takes to be PBD, or Mark Cuban - </b>and you might even see yourself, imagine yourself in that positon.</p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">If you’re like some of the young impressionable, members of my <a class="link" href="https://Discord.gg/onenetwork?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=when-your-inner-wantrepreneur-dies-an-entrepreneur-is-born" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DISCORD Group</a> - you might have even forked over a few thousand dollars to one of these gurus - for their “niche” system, designed to get you popping bottles and networking with “exclusive” people just like them. <br><br>Maybe - like some of my ex-business associates, these influencers have thrown you some side attention - and now you have some followers, and you believe you can easily execute the AI automation, cookie-cutter template that is “so easy” to implement and can earn you $10k recurring MRR in the next month. <br>Whether you are sitting on your couch, dreaming about what is possible, or you are a “fan” of one of my competitors who is already in the cult - the truth remains the same. <br><br>You aren’t living the dream. <b>You’re dreaming it. </b><br><br><b>And it’s time to wake up. </b><br></p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="there-is-no-matrix">There is No Matrix</h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">These days, I run a <a class="link" href="https://Discord.gg/onenetwork?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=when-your-inner-wantrepreneur-dies-an-entrepreneur-is-born" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Discord</a> - with my past <a class="link" href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/youdontneedacmo/?utm_source=theonenetwork.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=when-your-inner-wantrepreneur-dies-an-entrepreneur-is-born" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">marketing agencies</a> - I have interacted with people all around the world - in totally different circumstances, than me. <br><br>Many of today’s most famous gurus - have some degree of “adversity” in their story - it is what makes them popular, and relatable, to a large segment of the world. <br><br>Unlike these people, I grew up pretty privileged. I went to a NYC-area private school, with parents firmly established in the financial world, and I easily scored near-perfect on my SATs, and went to a stellar Ivy League School (University of Pennsylvania) without honestly putting too much time into working, studying, or networking. You see, there were other people, with richer parents than mine - more stuff, more friends, more accolades - and I constantly compared myself to them. <br>I was an obsessive guy - but my obsessions weren’t doing much other than driving me to typical vices like drinking, online dating, games, and worse. <br><b>What Changed?</b><br> About 10 years ago - when I was 20 years old - I was introduced to entrepreneurship from Shark Tank and the show “Silicon Valley” - I turned my obsessions OUTWARD - through ingenuity, and creativity - I saw a way where I could actually use my differences to make MONEY. </p><h2 class="heading" style="text-align:left;" id="the-wantrepeneur-is-born"><br><br>The Wantrepeneur is Born</h2><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Most successful entrepreneurs have parents who were business people. How politics or society is keeping them down. IT’s marketing. </p><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">You know what some of the things are - that they don’t do? </p><ul><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Post “thirst-traps” in their leased rolls-royce </p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Go out to fancy restaurants, multiple times a week</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Post-travel vlogs</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Share with your their expensive/pretentious joe-rogan esque health habits.</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Post about the merits of religion/hard-work/sobriety/sacrifice - but show the opposite</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">smoke cigars on boats</p></li><li><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">Beg for comments/shares</p></li></ul><p class="paragraph" style="text-align:left;">I’m not saying these things are bad (I do, and share, a lot of them) but <b>these are not the daily activities of an entrepreneur. </b>They are the daily activities of an influencer.<br>Most business owners couldn’t be bothered to post their own photos let alone manage the logistics of traveling to fancy restaurants, boats, and “wellness” gyms all the time. <br>Beyond the obligatory “Macbook” Instagram story - one of the things you almost never see online is people working. And when you do see it, its because they want you to see it. <br><br>So do me a favor NOW - and decide for me.
