High-profile figures like Elon Musk and Arianna Huffington have discussed their battles with stress and burnout, fostering a sense of community and support among entrepreneurs.

The top 3 signals:

• Over half of entrepreneurs struggle with anxiety and high stress.

• 21.6% experience insomnia or other sleep disorders with massive impact on their productivity level

• Only 18.5% are aware of mental health resources tailored for entrepreneurs.

The rise of mental health awareness in the entrepreneurial community has not gone unnoticed by businesses and investors. Madrid-based, ifeel raised €18.5 million a few months ago to save costs on risks associated with mental health.

Google and Microsoft have been investing in mental health initiatives for their employees, recognizing the importance of well-being for productivity and innovation.

The global mental health market was valued at $383.3 billion in 2022, expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.1% from 2023 to 2030.

Connecting with your true self is important.

How?

• Ben Casnocha, a serial entrepreneur, found peace through "Silent retreats".

• Calm, has partnered with organisations like Techstars and Founders Factory to offer free subscriptions and resources to support the mental wellbeing of founders and their teams.

What else?

• Forest bathing is trending. Immerse yourself in nature, listening to natural sounds, and enjoying fresh air can be a great alternative.

• BetterHelp and Talkspace: These online therapy platforms provide convenient, affordable therapy options, making it easier for entrepreneurs to seek help.

• Arianna Huffington, co-founder of The Huffington Post, has been vocal about her journey with burnout. She launched Thrive Global to end the stress and burnout epidemic, offering science-based solutions to enhance well-being and performance

• Tim Ferriss, author and entrepreneur, shares his experiences with mental health, advocating mindfulness and self-care.

• Marie Forleo, business coach and author, promotes mental health in her programs, encouraging entrepreneurs to prioritize well-being alongside business goals.

How do I do it?

• Binaural beats (if you looking for a daily/weekly routine): one of the ways I love. It’s a (very) effective way to slightly different frequency tones - in a few hours it fosters positive moods, increased relaxation level, and improved focus. • Sauna: having lived in Finland for half a year, I do love Finnish saunas and spas. I find the sound of water relaxing me a lot. I found a top sauna in Central London, and that’s where you can find me slowly recharging and healing.

You don’t know what affiliate marketing is?

In simple terms, affiliate marketing is the process by which an affiliate (i.e. your blog, your newsletter, your social media account) earns a commission for marketing another person’s or company’s products.

The sales are tracked easily.

Via affiliate links from one website to another.

You can make a commission between 1% and 20% on each sale, depending on the product of course.

As simple as it sounds.

Now, affiliate marketing is having a moment.

Why?

Because it offers a compelling mix of low risk, high reward, and almost unlimited scalability.

Some key benefits?

• Low barrier, Low risk, high reward: no large upfront investments. No need to create a product or service. Just promote someone else's and earn a commission. The low barrier to entry makes it an attractive option for budding entrepreneurs and seasoned businesspeople alike.

• Flexibility and freedom: Work from anywhere, anytime. Whether you're a digital nomad, a stay-at-home parent, or someone looking to diversify income streams, affiliate marketing fits the bill.

• Passive Income Potential: earn commissions 24/7. Affiliate Marketing is the epitome of passive income.

• Performance-based: This meritocratic aspect is a huge draw. If you're good at what you do, there's virtually no cap on how much you can earn.

The primary way creators and brands can help boost sales is through affiliate marketing.

It’s a no-brainer.

Yet less than a fifth of businesses are investing in it. Mad.

COVID-19 accelerated the shift to online shopping and with more people buying online, the demand for digital marketing surged, and affiliate marketing naturally benefited from this trend.

Influencers and brands are leveraging on that.

→ Influencers drive sales through authentic, relatable content and that makes them ideal affiliate partners. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok have become breeding grounds for affiliate marketing. Some examples:

• Grace Ryu affiliate marketing through Amazon's influencer program, makes anywhere from $500 to $2,000 monthly. She features work-from-home essentials from Amazon and link them. Then, people go to her storefront and buy through the links, and she gets paid a commission.

• Jalyn Baiden, an Instagram and TikTok influencer with around 25,000 followers on TikTok, told Business Insider she earned over $26,000 in less than a year from sponsorships, commissioned content for brands, and affiliate marketing.

• Lai is earning money as a skincare influencer on TikTok and Instagram, where she has hundreds of thousands of followers and posts content about skincare routines and product reviews. Lai spoke with Business Insider about how she's been able to earn over $5,000 per month using affiliate codes and how she's navigated brand sponsorships. 

→ Brands: give a percentage of each sale to creators who promote the brand's products. They set their own commission rates.

• One of the most successfull example for brands is this year’s Amazon Prime Day was a boom for many commerce publishers’ affiliate revenue streams. This Prime Day, Amazon influencers earned 21.6 times more on average per day than on other days in 2023.

→ Platforms:

• Amazon rolled out a TikTok competitor, called Inspire, in its app to capitalize on social shopping. Ahead of the launch, it paid influencers to make content for the new feature. Amazon initially offered $250 for every vertical video uploaded that was less than 30 seconds (up to 10 videos), according to a screenshot of the offer viewed by BI.

• TikTok is reworking the antiquated affiliate marketing model. It aims to turn every one (with more than 1k followers) of its more than a billion users into a shopping influencer. Anyone with over 1,000 followers can earn affiliate income by promoting products sold on TikTok Shop.

  And you can also integrate third-party e-commerce platforms, like Shopify, Square, Ecwid, and BigCommerce. Brands can join TikTok Shop by applying on the platform's website.

• Other platforms: If you are a brand or an influencer of if you are willing to create your own audience, there are affiliate programs including Amazon, or LTK (valued at $2 billion in late 2021), or ShareASale which connect the 2 worlds.

Anyone can do affiliate marketing because it's easy to start, but it takes lots of time and patience on any social media platform to create an audience, that will bring in sales.

Once that happens, money comes in fast over a few months, and it's all passive income.

If you're not earning money through affiliate marketing, you are leaving money on the table.

Virtual real estate in the metaverse offers a unique value proposition compared to traditional real estate.

The answer lies in its unique blend of digital ownership, speculative potential, and the growing digital economy with no physical constraints, thus providing a canvas for limitless creativity.

Virtual land in the metaverse is finite and unique, making virtual real estate valuable and attracting investors and enthusiasts alike.

You can buy a piece of land too.

Buying property digitally in Metaverse is done in the same way as it is done in the case of NFTs. Just head to Decentraland, make a few searches and then filter for lands available to buy.

So what can you do with your new digital plot?

Lease it out, or rent it to event organizers who can use it to hold virtual events. Imagine hosting virtual concerts, or art events. The possibilities are endless.

The location of the virtual real world can make the difference between making an investment profit and making no money at all. You can even get to see the neighborhood areas and the proximity to those fancy and very high-end areas too.

Now's your chance!

Someone paid $450K to live close to “Snoopverse”, Snoop Dogg’s (the legendary rapper) virtual mansion in the metaverse, complete with a virtual strip club and a recreation of his real-life mansion. WOW! 

A few months ago, a Florida mansion sold for $11.2M in cash, with a fully built metaverse version included in the deal.

Nowadays you can even get a mortgage for virtual land.

TerraZero Technologies facilitated one of the first-ever "metaverse mortgages" for a client buying virtual property in Decentraland.

It’s an entirely new market for virtual land and buildings with:

1. Immersive and Interactive Experiences: From virtual concerts and art galleries to interactive brand experiences. This attracts brands and creators looking to engage with their audience in new ways.

2. Exponential Value Appreciation: The potential for value appreciation can be significant. Early adopters might have seen big profits already. Virtual property prices soared up to 500% after Facebook rebranded as Meta.

3. Digital Ownership and Blockchain Security: Unlike physical real estate, where all is handled via paperwork, and ownership can be disputed, metaverse real estate is recorded on the blockchain. This ensures transparency and security.

Platforms like Decentraland, The Sandbox, and Cryptovoxels have pioneered the concept of digital real estate. Users can purchase and develop virtual parcels of land using blockchain and NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

While Republic Realm manages a diverse portfolio across these multiple platforms, Tokens.com is one of the largest property owners in Decentraland.

Major brands like Adidas, Samsung, and Atari have already acquired virtual land, recognizing the potential of the metaverse. Companies like Nike and Gucci have already set up virtual stores, anticipating future consumer shifts.

The most expensive Metaverse land sale was $5 million, which occurred in the relatively unknown virtual world, TCG World.

Creators should leverage social media listening in several impactful ways.

Why?

To enhance your content, grow your audience, and even monetize your presence and make your content:

• timely: aligns with what's happening now

• relevant: is more likely to resonate with your audience's interests and needs, spark their interest

• engaging: it speaks directly to the audience's preferences or current conversations, encouraging more interactions and engagement 

This can be done by monitoring popular hashtags, keywords, and topics within your niche, and identifying what's currently trending.

If you haven’t started using Google Alerts and Reddit yet, you should probably have a go. While Google Alerts serves as a free data monitoring tool, Reddit with its myriad subreddits, is a microcosm of specific interests.

Leverage Reddit to conduct detailed audience analysis. Reddit offers a unique vantage point to understand audience preferences and behaviors. Engaging in these niche communities can provide creators and brands alike with deep insights into conversations that are shaping the future of the industries.

This is key to dominating your niche.

But social listening is not only about citations or searches.

The Social Media Listening Market size is estimated at USD 8.44 billion in 2024, and is expected to reach USD 16.19 billion by 2029, growing at a CAGR of 13.90% during the forecast period (2024-2029).

There are lots of tools that not only alert brands for citations but also when Reddit users mention something they care about, even if you don’t tag them.

A recent survey of over 200 professionals across the globe underscores its growing importance. With one-third of respondents investing over $100,000 in their social listening stacks, the commitment is clear.

And as 36% of organizations move toward centralizing their social listening functions, the trend toward a more integrated, strategic approach is undeniable.

Last week, one of my tweets on X had 5700 impressions in less than 24hours as I quizzed followers about their game-changing business reads.

The verdict?

“Rich Dad, Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki topped the chart across 80 comments.

This not only gave me a clear snapshot of what fuels my audience but also sparked the inspiration for today’s topic.

Saudi Arabia is home to 58,300 millionaires, which includes 195 individuals with net worths exceeding $100 million and 22 billionaires.

The number of millionaires is expected to be over 185k by 2027.

Incredible.

As you know, KSA (The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) is famous for some of the largest and craziest real estate mega projects, like the Line, Trojena, the 20-story-high F1 race track.

But there is more.

With a median age of 29, KSA has a strong potential target audience for many digital and physical solutions and product.

Saudi Arabia has attracted immigrants since the oil industry's growth in the 1970s. If you are attracted by the sound of money too and you are moving there, you won’t probably suffer much loneliness there - 40% of the country’s population is a foreigner. And due to its booming economy and no tax on personal income, guess what? More and more people are expected to move there.

While KSA’s beautiful tourist attractions and natural scenery are a hot trend on social media, the country also holds a few surprises for Western travelers, including the ban on alcohol consumption, taking photos of government buildings, and witchcraft.

If you are moving there, the KSA's Vision 2030 is one to remember. The plan is to enhance the nation's appeal to foreign investors by slashing unemployment rates, and raising foreign direct investment from 3.8% to 5.7%.

It should come as no surprise that in 2024 the biggest marketing trends will revolve around AI, but not only.

#1 - How do Marketers use AI nowadays?

When I talk with founders, many find it challenging to generate online content ideas.

Yet, by 2024, this should be effortless.

Instagram and X bookmarks, or the save function on LinkedIn and TikTok, should be your best friend. And you can even employ Readwise to remember Kindle highlights. As a creator, you should always start with a well-curated collection of articles and posts for inspiration.

And that’s AI where AI helps too. The vast majority of the marketers use AI for:

• Brainstorming new ideas or exploring different angles,

• Repurposing or tweaking pre-created content for different channels or audiences,

• Creating videos, images, and stories.

However, integrating AI and choosing from the plethora of tools available presents various challenges nowadays.

#2 - Social Commerce: Forget AI for a sec. Marketers are fusing e-commerce features with social platforms, creating a seamless shopping journey, taking the prospect from discovery through influencer recommendation to in-app purchases, and offering customer services via DM.
Surveyed users ages 18-34 purchase via social commerce for limited-time offers whereas users 35+ are incentivised by free shipping. Apparel, beauty products, and home products account for 60% of all social commerce purchases, a 25% increase from our 2021 report. And more and more Social Commerce platforms are being built while we speak.

#3 - Video-First Platforms Take the Lead: TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are the fastest-growing in the marketing sphere. Instagram and Facebook go for the highest ROI, followed by YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X. Airalo successful campaign resulted in 2.1 million videos, a 12.3% engagement and 0.23$ install/rate, by running a successful marketing campaing and reaching travel community on TikTok.
As for Threads, only a small percentage of marketers plan to explore its potential in 2024.

#4 - Short, impactful, and shareable video content will dominate, offering the highest ROI. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels are becoming key channels for shoppable content. Temporary content, like IG and Snapchat stories, will be a key way to facilitate sales while adding a sense of urgency.

#5 - Micro-Influencers: The New Marketing Heroes: Forget about large follower counts; 2024 is about micro-influencers (10k to 100k followers). Where there is a niche, there is a community. Smaller creators fall into this high-trust category. With their niche audiences and authentic connections, they deliver unparalleled value, focusing on resonance, relationship, and community engagement. Look no further than Luseta Beauty for inspiration on how to leverage influencers. The brand turned to TikTokers to hype up their Biotin and Collagen collections. A single creator’s post earned a whopping 1.8 million views and 300,000 likes.

The creator economy is mostly based on social media platforms. Creators usually build an audience through social media, they build trust, and try monetizing it.

How? Sponsorship ads. Coaching. Community Marketing. Agency. Their own brand.

In the latter case, the influencer offers their followers a product or service consciously built for them.

They move their rented audience (their audience living on socials, that could be taken away in seconds based on Zuckerberg and Musk's mood on that day) to an owned audience (i.e. their newsletter), a safe place where they can profile their audience, establish a closer relationship, ask for feedback, run a better marketing campaign, sell and monetize.

According to Google Trends, “How to Start a Brand” and “How to Start a Course” search phrases have seen a significant emergency since 2022 and most of today’s well-known influencer brands were founded during the pandemic.
