The Crone Stories

The Crone Stories is a narrative podcast for women in the long middle of life. Real stories of perimenopause, menopause, and the becoming that comes after.
Each episode is one woman's story. Hosted and written by Karen Amy, longtime holistic practitioner and story keeper, the show is built around private hour-long conversations with women in midlife about what they have lived through, what it has cost them, and what they are becoming on the other side. Karen shapes those conversations into a told story and reads it back. The woman gets to hear her own life narrated with care. Then she comes in to speak in her own voice, in a short three-question reflection that closes each episode.
This is not a wellness podcast. There are no five-step plans, no hormone hacks, no advice. It is a place where the conversations women used to have on porches and in circles get to be witnessed by the rest of us. Stories of grief, the body, motherhood, marriage, illness, work, identity, and the slow becoming that midlife asks of us.
Season one runs from June through October 2026, with new episodes every other Friday. Whether you are deep inside perimenopause, walking through menopause, or living the years that come after, you will recognise yourself in these stories. You are not alone in this.
The word crone has been quietly stripped of its weight. The Crone Stories is taking it back. A crone is a woman who has lived enough to know what she knows. She is the one you go to. These are her stories.
