The truth is, destroying is easier than building. When scandals arise, the call to action is loud, but solutions are scarce.

We criticize new ideas, holding them to impossible standards while clinging to the status quo. But why? It’s time we expand our imaginations and envision a better world.

I dream of a life filled with purpose, contributing to my community through writing and this podcast.

About Mina

I'm Mina — a Black woman from Tennessee, a writer, a policy researcher, and an optimistic nihilist. I started this channel because the personal and the structural were never actually separate. Your struggle to belong isn't a personal failing. It's a response to systems designed to make certain people feel like they don't.

Mina, Unfiltered is where we do the hard, messy, uncomfortable work of thinking seriously about what it takes to build communities where everyone belongs — even the people you don't really like.

Not a safe space. Not a passivity incubator. Just honest thinking from someone who is right in the thick of it.

New episodes every Wednesday.

Subscribe to the newsletter at minaunfiltered.com.
